Lincoln, June 8.--The faculty of the University of Nebraska went through the formality yesterday of is a master's degree to a dead man -- Indu Prakas Banerji, a Hindu, who completed four years of work at the University of Calcutta and then came to Nebraska to complete his education in sociology. Banerji perished in the Lusitania tragedy.
Banerji was called home by the serious illness of his father and was trying to reach his bedside. He had not' planned to lake the Lusitania, but a message he received in New York sent him abroad. Banerji was planning to become a missionary among the Hindu people and was looking forward to the completion of his work in the university.
