I'm looking to find some family history regarding the McConnells of Goffstown. My mother told me they owned a large farm (which is now a state park?) My great grandfather, James McConnell was the oldest of maybe 16 children born there in the mid 1800's . His father's name was Robert J. McConnell and he might have come over from Ireland/Scotland via New Brunswick or Nova Scotia where he lost his first wife .
Thanks for any help you can offer.

I am descended from Joseph Buswell (1733-?). He moved to Goffstown from Bradford, MA sometime between 1771 and 1773. His wife was Sarah Amey who likely was born in Bradford and died in Goffstown in 1824. I have a fairly complete listing of their children with year and location of birth, as well as spouse's names. I have seen the house of their youngest child, Abraham (1782-1853) mentioned on this website. I wonder if this house still exists? Also from the website I have noticed their oldest son John Buswell fought in the Rev. war. I would appreciate any information on this family. Thank you.
