Early Lempster Families
This posting is for someone who is not yet online, but she asked me to
"put her on the Internet."
She is compiling a book on "Early Lempster Families" and wants
to know what happened to all who resided in Lempster from incorporation
(1767) through the 1850 census.
She's been working on this book for 10 years, so she's a wonderful
resource.
If you can contribute to her research, please write to

SAMPSON
West Waterman Sampson b. 1771 in West Brookfield, MA m. Mary Fowler of
NH. They lived in NH and had 6 children, two of whom I think are
Newland b. about 1796 and Warner. West, it seems, returned to MA and
died leaving the family in NH.
1800 census shows them in Cheshire Co, which Washinton was part of at
the time. The surname index indicates that both the Fowler and Sampson
names are in the Washington, NH town history book.
Do you or does someone have access to this book and could they tell me
if it has info on the Sampson - Fowler families? Is there another
source for this information.
Thanks much for your help. George Sorensen in California

Jesse Woodward, b. in Plaistow, NH, 24 June 1774 [Plaistown Town

Sullivan Co. They had two known children, Daniel S. WOODWARD, b. 11 July
1796 probably in Springfield, and Diana A. WOODWARD, b. abt. 1804.
When were Jesse and Bashabee married? Were they mar. in Springfield?
Is Kimball WOODWARD, b. about 1802 and died 20 June 1845 there son?
When and where did Jesse die? It is believe that he may have removed from
Springfield after 1805 to Maine. I think he is the Jesse Woodward who
paid taxes in Springfield in 1804 and 1805 [Springfield Town Records]. A
Jesse WOODWARD is found in the Oxford Co., Maine, federal census for the

for those same years in Haverhill (Grafton Co.), NH.

Looking for date and place of death for Daniel CLARK and Betsy Boyd
PATTERSON CLARK. Daniel was born abt 1779, probably Londonderry, NH,
son of Samuel CLARK and Janet BARNETT and grandson of Robert CLARK and
Letitia COCHRAN, who came from Londonderry NI, to Londonderry NH, about
1725. Daniel and Betsy married March 5, 1799, New Boston, Hillsboro Co.

Robert Patterson, and Nancy Stinson) were probably all born in New
Boston. The family later lived in Claremont, Sullivan Co. NH, but by
the late 1820s or early 30s, all the children had left NH. What
happened to Daniel and Betsy? Did they leave NH, too, or did they stay
in Claremont? What happened in NH in this time period that caused the
family to leave? Thank you for any help!
