SOLDIER BIOGRAPHIES: GETTYSBURG AND AFTER

Charles H. STREETER, Corporal; credited to Keene, Cheshire.

 
   
Franklin R. TUCKER, age 22, credited to Manchester, Hillsborough; last reported residence at West Manchester;  enlisted on May 9, 1861 and was mustered into the service as a private in CO C of the 2nd New Hampshire on June 1, 1861. He was officially reported as Captured July 21, 1861 Bull Run, VA exchanged. Wounded June 1864 at Cold Harbor VA, and mustered out June 21, 1864.  On May 22, 1912 he started receiving $25.00 per month, apparently a pension for his service in the American Civil War, this document states that he was a private and corporal in Co. C 2 Regiment New Hampshire Infantry.  He died March 16, 1914 in Nashua NH at St. Joseph's Hospital of Sarcoma of the leg and is buried in Hillsboro, NH. Source #1, Source #4
