Desert Storm Veterans
FOXEN, Patrick J., was born in Tenafly NJ in 1951 and graduated from Tenafly High School in 1969. After graduating from Rutgers University with a BA in History and Education, Pat enlisted in the Army in 1975 as an Infantryman. His first assignment was to the 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Division in Aschaffenburg , Germany . In 1978 Pat switched to Military Intelligence and was trained as an Interrogator at Fort Huachuca . He served in that capacity at the 1st PSYOP Bn, Fort Bragg . While he was stationed at FT Clayton, Panama, Pat was selected as a Warrant Officer and continued to serve as an Interrogation/Human Intelligence Technician for the rest of his military career, at the 519th MI BN, Fort Bragg, the 193rd MI CO, Fort Clayton, Panama, the 202nd MI Battalion, Fort Monmouth, the 513th MI Brigade, Fort Monmouth and Riyadh, the 165th MI Battalion, Darmstadt, Germany, and the 306th and 309th MI Battalions at Fort Huachuca. He also saw service in El Salvador and Granada .
Pat retired from the Army in 1999 as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 after 24 years of service. He received the Bronze Star Medal for his service during Desert Storm. In addition, during his career, he received the Kuwait Liberation Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (4th Award), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (5th Award), Joint Service Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Nation Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (2nd Award), Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Star, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon (4th Award).
