Gerard A. Francois Gerard grew up in Jersey City, left high school and joined the Army the day he turned 17, in 1947. He served in the Korean War with Hq.Co.3rd Btn. 31st Inf. 7th Div. Went a shore at the Inchon landing, when the war started. He was taken prisoner on December 2, 1950, at the Chosin Reservoir. Gerard was released in 1953 and returned home to Jersey City. Airman 1st class Andrew Herkalo, entered the Airforce 8/15/52. Took basic at Sampson AFB. Took basic weapon school at Lowery AFB. Served in Korea with the 95th Bomb Sq, K9 PUSAN West also K1 Pusan East. Spent 30 months Altus AFB SAC. He was discharged Aug 1956 and joined Sampson AFB Vets Asso. John C. von Colln U.S. Army, Military Police Corp, Fort Dix, N.J., Ft. Gordon, Agusta, Ga., Ft. Jay, Governers Island, N. Y., Verdun, France, Lebonan, January, U. S. Army Reserve, 1956 through 1962. Private through Corporal. Home During this time was 108 Perry Street, Cape May, N. J. 11 Egmont Place, Staten Island, N.Y. Rudy Willemsen, S/Sgt USAF. Born in Hawthoren, NJ 27 Jun 1929, graduated central High School, Paterson, NJ Jun 1947. Enlisted in the US Air Force 19 Oct.1950 and took basic training at Lackland AFB , San Antomio TX, attended communications school at F.E.Warren AFB, Cheyenne WY then was stationed at March AFB, Riverside CA, Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson AZ, Sidi Slimane AFB, French Morocco and was honorably discharged at Walker AFB, Roswell NM in Oct 1954. Employed as an Aerospace Engineer by Kearfott Guidance & Navigation of Little Falls, NJ till retiring in May 1994. Now residing in Hawthorne, NJ. (Submitted by Rudy Willemsen)

Airman First Class William John "Hotdog" Hamlin. Born March 21, 1930 in Delanco. He attended Burlington High School and enlisted in the Air Force in 1952 and was honorably discharged July 31, 1959. He lives in North Wilkesboro, NC. (Donated by: Debbie Hutchison Hamlin at dhhamlin@charter.net)

William Earl Christian, Jr., was born on 31 March 1923 in Highland Park. He served as a radioman in the Navy during WWII. During the Korean Conflict, he was called again to active duty and served aboard the USS Robert L. Wilson (DDE 847). He was honorably discharged in November of 1951. (Submitted by Paul C. Maryon Trzaska, USM Sgt. born and raised in South River, NJ 1933-1998. Served in the Korean war. Received a bronze star and purple heart. Laid to rest in the Veterans cemetery, Arnytown, NJ. (Donated by:Mrs. Felix Trzaska)
