BELLAMY CEMETERY

aka/Petrolia Cemetery

Town of Alma, Allegany County, NY

Located on Lot 6, Bellamy Road/Alma Hill Road near the town line of Alma/Wellsville, just inside the Town of Alma.

This information is meant to help you in your quest for family information.  As with all material provided by others,  you must verify using your own methods.  Please report any errors you may discover (with proof of correction needed)  so we can provide accuracy on the web.

Bellamy Cemetery was taken over by the Town of Alma due to loss of all members of the Cemetery Association Board.  The Cemetery has not had a burial since 2000 and is termed "inactive" with the State Board of Cemeteries.

The lists, history & information provided here has to be built from scratch since all records of the cemetery are gone.

As a descendent of 3 Great-Great-Grandfathers buried here I have a serious interest in this cemetery.  I  ask anyone with information on this cemetery to please contact me so we can develop records at the Town Office that are meaningful to residents of the Town and for family researchers.  email: RON TAYLOR, Webmaster & Town of Alma Historian

  • Another List of Burials is available on another website, Painted Hills Genealogy Society.  The list was done by Dan & Sally Maxson and incorporates their research and reference to a map not privy to this writer.  As with all sources you must prove your own facts!  The Burial List may be viewed by PRESSING HERE.
