THE ORIGINAL sign from the front of the Richardson Inn, circa 1824 is pictured here.  It was donated by a descendent of Alvan Richardson, the community's first permanent settler, and for whom the community is named.

The purpose of the Richburg-Wirt Society is to bring together those persons interested in history, and especially the history of the community of Richburg and Wirt. 

Meetings: Held first Monday of each month, March through December at 7:00 p.m.  We meet at the Richburg-Wirt Historical Society Museum, 243 Main St. (Route 275), Richburg, NY.  We often have speakers and occasionaly go on field trips that are of interest to the group.  Visitors are always welcome!

MEMBERSHIP

If you would like to help us preserve more of Richburg-Wirt history, YOU CAN by becoming a member of the Society.

Individual Dues: Annual $10.00 - Life Membership $100.00

Make check payable to Richburg-Wirt Historical Society and mail along with your name, mailing address and telephone number to: Richburg-Wirt Historical Society; P.O.Box 181; Richburg, NY 14774

You will then receive a membership card.  Active members receive a quarterly newsletter.

The Sponsor of the Ship was Florence Maddren of Wellsville, oldest granddaughter of O.P. Taylor.
