Note: 7/12/07 Email states the following about Oviatt/Sandborn Families:

Hello!

On p.3 Archives 2006, I noticed the photo of the Elias P. Sandborn Store in Belvidere, NY about 1860.  Fred Loew Sandborn did indeed marry Daniel Barber Oviatt II's daughter, Alice Amelia Oviatt.  Daniel Barber Oviatt II (born 10 May 1820-died 05 Jun 1895) married Freelove Esther Welch and they had 9 children.  They resided in Alma.  Daniel Barber Oviatt II's parents were Daniel Barber Oviatt (28 Mar 1787 born in Meridan, VT died 18 Aug 1859 in Scio, NY) and Betsy Smith (born 24 Jul 1790 in ? and died 21 May 1842 in Scio, NY).  They are both buried in the Rogers Cemetery in Scio, NY.

    Your information is marvelous!

Sincerely,

Adele (a descendant of the elder Daniel Barber Oviatt)
