  • PINGREY, CHASE, AUSTIN, MILLER

Soloman Pingrey (b.1805 d. 1888), my 3rd, great grandfather, came to Allegany Co. in the 1820's and lived on Pingrey Hill Road.  His eldest child, (1)Elmina married Stephen (Sam?) Austin. His next child (2) Loren farmed accross the road from him.  His son (3) Albert was  Methodist Episcopal Minister, and moved around between New York, Illinois, and Michigan.  His daughter (4) Thirza D. according to family notes, married Barry Miller.  (5) Elvira married Sanford Mead, and they lived in Andover.  (6) Darius was a lawyer, eventually moved to Illinois, all the time making a name for himself in the legal and educational field.  (7) Samantha S. married Nemiah Smith.  Any information on any of these people would be greatly appreciated.  I have additional information on ancesters and descendants.  I am descended from Albert.
