CHARLES CHURCH IS BURIED IN ANDOVER - Resident for 27 Years Dies at Home of Daughter - Burial in Hillside.

 

Andover, March 4 - Funeral services for Charles F. Church, Andover resident who died Friday at the home of his daughter in Canisteo, were held here this afternoon.  The Rev. Helena Chaplin officiated with burial in Hillside cemetery.

 

Mr. Church was born June 24, 1867 in Alfred, a son of Willard F. and Mary E. Sherman Church.  He was twice married: To Mary MacKerg who died in 1921 and in 1926 to Emma P. Clair who survives together with the following children: Robert and Harold Church, both of Andover; Fred Church, Allentown, PA; Mrs. Rose Edwards West Union: Mrs. Nettie Wilcox, Richburg, Mrs. Ethel Bloss, Canisteo, Mrs. Alice Nobles, Towanda, PA, Elmer Church, Allentown, PA.  Three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Simpkin, Elmira, Miss Martha Church, Ovid; Mrs. Charles Livermore, Aurora, ILL,  21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

 

He had been a resident of Andover for 27 years.
