William Church
William Henry Church, 68, retired mail carrier, died suddenly at his home on Wellsville R.D. 4, Nov 11th, 1931, following a stroke of apoplexy. Death came suddenly and
unexpected as Mr. Church had been out attending his work in the morning, apparently feeling well. He was stricken about 11 o'clock.
For the past 26 years he had been a resident of Wellsville and during practically all of that time had been employed as a rural mail carrier on R.D. 2. He was retired
about four years ago.
Deceased was born in Hartford, N.Y. son of Willard and Mary E. Sharmon Church on March 31, 1863. He resided in Alfred and Andover before he located in
Wellsville.
On September 28, 1884 he was united in marriage to Addie G. Adams who survives together with two daughters, Mrs. Grace Fanton, Wellsville and Mrs. Hope Brown, Lawrence,
Mich.; two sons, Raymond B. Church and Carroll A. Church, both of Andover and three sisters, Mrs. May S. Simpkins, Elmira; Mrs. Cora B. Livermore, Batavia, Ill, and Miss Martha J. Church, Seneca Lake.
He was a member of the Christian Temple of Wellsville and had many relatives and friends in Andover who mourn his death.
Funeral services were held from the late home with the Rev. Richard E. Lentz of the Christian Temple officiating. Burial was made in Fulmer Valley
Cemetery.
