Obit: No newspaper name, date of death 19 Feb 1985
ALMOND - J. Howard Crossett Sr., 87, of 7 Angelica St died Tuesday (Feb 19 1985) at the Hornell Nursing Home, where he had been a patient for about one year.
A native of South Dansville, he was a former Hornell resident and for the past 50 years he had lived in Almond. He was employed for many years by Elmhurst Dairy Inc. in Hornell and later for the village of Alfred until 1973. Following his retirement, he was the custodian for Woodlawn Cemetery in Almond until 1980.
He was a member of the Lions Club in Almond and Arkport Memorial Post No. 1248, American Legion.
Survivors include one daughter, Paulena Wheeler of Almond; two sons, Francis of Bath, and James Jr. of Wayland; one sister, Gladys Fidler of Arkport RD 2; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews
Friends will be received for 2-4 and 7-9pm. Thursday at the Robertson Funeral Home in Hornell, where a service will be at 11 am, Friday. The Rev. James Moser will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Almond
Memorial donation may be made to the Woodlawn cemetery Association or the Almond Union of Churches.
