CLARA JEANETTE KRIZAN
NIAGARA—Clara Jeanette Krizan, 83, of Porter Road died Thursday (March 13, 2003) in Fillmore while living with her son.
Mrs. Krizan was born June 9, 1919, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Eugene and Edith (Kinter) Krieger.
She formerly worked at Moore Business Forms and at Bell Aircraft during World War II. She and her husband formerly owned the Dairy Queen on Military Road for 15 years.
She and her husband traveled all over the world. She enjoyed wintering in Arizona with her daughter. She was a member of the Boots and Saddle Bridle Club in her younger days. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and baking. She was a member of the Married Grandmothers Card Club.
She and her husband, the late Ferdinand “Fred” Krizan, were married 63 years. He died in 1998.
She is survived by a son, Fred E. (Denise) Krizan of Fillmore; three daughters, Anne (Jose) Garcia of Ransomville, Jeanne (Edward) Powick of Cape May, N.J., and Bonnie (Jeffery) King of Tucson, Ariz.; four brothers, William Krieger of Orchard Park, Fritz Krieger of Ruidosa, N.M., Howard Krieger of Youngstown, and Paul Krieger of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Edith Bloom of Nokomis, Fla., Dorothy Hughes of Ransomville, and Jeannette Bailey of Niagara Falls; six grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by four brothers, Eugene, Kenneth, Robert and Harry Krieger; and two sisters, Glenora Lewis and VirginiaStakow.
The family received friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lane Funeral Home Inc., 8622 Buffalo Ave., where funeral services was held Monday (March 17, 2003) at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daven Oskvig officiating.
Burial was in N.F. Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
