JOHN B. LESTNER

John B. Lestner died at the family home on Hanover Street at 1:30 o’clock Monday morning, March 17, 1919.

Deceased was born in Germany June 9, 1839.  He had been a resident of Wellsville for 16 years.  He was twice married:  On June 6, 1866 to Deborah Phillips, who died April 8, 1909.  On June 15, 1914, he was married to Mariah Perkins who survives him, together with a daughter, Mrs. Tryphene Davis of Andover; and six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was a member of the Christian Temple of Wellsville, and the Commander of Wesley Rolfe Post of Stanards.

The funeral will be held at his late home Thursday afternoon at two o’clock, the Rev. W. W. Robinson pastor of the Methodist church officiating.  Interment at Woodlawn.
