Mrs. Hattie Willis is confined in a Nursing Home in Belmont, is reported not so well this week. She has many friends I town who are sincerely sorry to hear this and wish for a recovery for her that she may return to her home on north street Miss Mittie Willis is staying with her mother in Belmont.
 
Mrs. Harriet Willis suffered a shock while on her way to Belmont with her daughter, Monday. She is at present at the Roberts Nursing Home in Belmont.

Angelica, July 3 - (AP)- Mrs. Hattie Willis who has been a patient in the Roberts Nursing Home, Belmont for some time was brought to her home here Wednesday. Mrs. Ethel Post is the Nurse in charge. Mrs. Willis's condition remains about the same.

Dies In Angelica
 
Mrs. Harriet Willis mother of Mrs. Henry Allen of Clark Street and Martin Willis of Pine street, died at her home in Angelica this morning after a five week illness. Funeral services will be held at the M. E. Church in Angelica Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Captain Herbert E. Willis of West Point was called here, Friday, by the illness of this mother, Mrs. Hattie Willis. Mrs. Willis died Monday.

Resolution of Respect
 
It is with deep solemnity that one of our oldest and most loyal member sisters Hattie Willis has been called from our midst to the Great Beyond. Therefore our order has lost a faithful and highly respected member and we as members of Angelica Lodge 214 Rebekahs mourn our loss.
Resolved that our charter be draped for a period of thirty days and that a copy of this Resolution be sent the bereaved families' a copy be spread upon the minutes of the Lodge and a copy be sent to the local paper for publication.

That this low breath is gone from

Let one most loving of all of you say

Mrs. Harriett Willis

 

Angelica, July 6-Mrs. Harriet
Willis died here Monday morning
at 11:30 o'clock. She was 76 years
of age and a life long resident of
the village.
Born here in December 17, 1860, she
has always been identified with
community life. She was a member
of the Methodist Episcopal
Church and three organizations  of
the church, the Bethany Society,
the Ladies Aid, and the Foreign
Missionary Society. She was a
member of the Woman's Christian
Temperance Union, the Rebekah
Lodge, the Grange and the Gold
Star Mothers.
Mrs. Willis was married to Martin
Willis on July 14, 1880. He died in
October 1927.
She is survived by five children
Captain H. E. Willis of West Point,
Mrs. Henry Allen of Wellsville, Miss
Mitty Willis of South Hornell, Martin
Willis of Wellsville and Glenn Willis.
Also Allen Wallace, a son-in-law.
Other  survivors are ten grandchildren
and four great grandchildren and three
brothers, Joseph E. Shafer of Angelica, Moses
V. Shafer of Arkport and Fred
Shafter of Alta, Alberta, Canada, one
sister Mrs. Clare Hewson of Arkport.
Funeral services will be held at
the Methodist Episcopal Church
tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock with
burial in the local cemetery.
A son, George Willis died in
France while a member of the A.E.F.
Mrs. Willis visited his grave
a few years ago.

Mrs. Harriet Willis, a lifelong res-
ident of this village, died Monday at
her home here. She was born in
Angelica, December 17, 1860.
She has always been identified with
community life,being a
member of the Methodist Episcopal
Church and its Bethany Circle,
Ladies Aid, Foreign Missionary Society. 
She was a member of the W.C.T.,
Rebekahs and Grange. She was a Gold
Star Mothers, her son, George Willis,
dying in France during the World War.
She was married to Martin
Willis on July 14, 1880. He died in
October 1927.
She is survived by the following children:
Captain H. E. Willis of West Point,
Mrs. Henry Allen of Wellsville, Miss
Mitty Willis of South Hornell, Martin
Willis of Wellsville and Glenn Willis,at
a state hospital;also Allen Wallace, a son-in-law.
Other  survivors are ten grandchildren
and 4 great grandchildren.
Three brothers also survive Joseph
E. Shafer of Angelica, Moses B.
Shafer of Arkport and Fred
Shafter of Alta, Alberta, Canada, one
sister Mrs. Clare Hewson of Arkport.
The funeral services were held in
the Methodist Episcopal Church Wednesday
afternoon and burial was made in the
