 Caneadea Dam at Rushford Lake; 135 Steps - Built in 1927. Steps were replaced in 1944 & again in 1969.

|
 Picture for postcard was taken on August 18, 1906, the 50th Birthday of NY Governor Higgins. Gov Higgins is the closest to camera in front seat. The postcard was mailed & postmarked at Rushford on February, 1907, 4 days after the death of Gov. Higgins. He did not reach his 51st birthday. This house was his birthplace which still stands and is used as a residence today.
