"Is there any more information connected to this picture? The small leaves on the trees and dandelions in the grass suggest it was taken in spring. I know the 108th Infantry was
shipped out in Spring of 1818 and returned home in Spring of 1919. My grandfather was home for a short while before being sent to Arizona; this would have probably been spring and/or summer of
1919.
I think the young looking soldier sixth from the left behind and next to the sailor might be my grandfather, Carroll (Cal) Murray Willahan. He joined shortly after the U.S. entered the
war, and served in the 108th Infantry, 27th Division (first enlisting in the 74th New York National Guard). He was underage when he enlisted so he added two years to his actual age; he had either
just turned 17 or was almost 17. He saw a great deal of action during the war, was shot, took shrapnel, and was gassed three times but survived the war and lived to age 78. After the war the Army
sent him to Arizona, to guard the border and dry out his lungs, which had been damaged by the gas. He met my grandmother there and remained in the West (California) for the rest of his life.
My grandfather was born in and grew up around Rushford, NY (his parents owned a farm 4 miles north of East Rushford. Supposedly one of the American Legions or VFW halls in the area (maybe
Rushford?) is either named for him or has a plaque dedicated to him. My parents have a few pictures of my Grandpa as a soldier which I could compare the next time I visit them, but I'm very sure

However did you know that it was actually at PH Kellogg’s studio? It was in this house that he had his business. The reason I know this, is because I grew up in that house. My parents Rose and Jim

"The one sitting to the extreme left and bottom of the photo is my father, George H. Enos. It was more than likely taken in early 1918 at the end of the World
War in France. My father served in France in 1917 and 1918.
The person sitting about four to my father's left is Claredon "Bucky" Cole.
One of the ladies is more than likely Beth Rogers. The man in Navy Uniform is more than likely Earl Phelps as he was the only one that I remember that was in

Ron, Number 7 is the photo is Francis Moses, one of the Moses sons who were the
founding family of Cuba Cheese Co. Number 25 is Dr. William E Higgs, who had a medical practice in Cuba at his home at 47 East Main Street. David H. Crowley
