Welcome to Sportsman's Raceway Mills, PA Home Page
Although this raceway is just over the border of Allegany County, the racers came from Allegany county for the most part. Here will be posted clippings, historical items and photos as they become available. Check back often - you never know what may appear.
Thanks go to Dick Montgomery and Ford Easton for giving some identifications and information. |

(above) #77 Unknown; #13 is Basil Shutt's 1958 Edsel |

Presenter, Floy (Miller) Donovan, right; Dean Layfield, left drove the car which belonged to Carl Burrows, center. (Id of Carl by Kurt Van Pelt). As the story goes, Carl could not drive that night so Dean substituted as driver and won! |

Above, (L-R) Whitey Roboski, Stub Weigartz of Allegany, Winning Driver of Car 331, Floy Donovan presenting

Viewer's Comments:
"The #25 sedan in the photos at Mills, Pa I believe is Ron Edgerton. I spent many summers in Ulysses,Pa on my grandfathers farm. My dad took mr to the races there and I believe I have
a photo of Ron Edgerton much like this one. Your racing website is great. Keep up the good work. Thanks, J baker"
