Greene "The site of the new Erie Station at this place was officially located Monday, by Supt. Gilpin of Hornellsville, and the work of filling in and preparing the land ready to receive the foundation for the same was begun Tuesday morning. The building will be erected on the north side of the main track, beginning a short distance from the Main Street crossing. Mr. Costigan of Friendship, has charge of the work now being done, and a large gang of men are employed unloading the cars of dirt brought here from the gravel pit at Wellsville. It is estimated that at least 100 cars of dirt will be needed to make the site large enough for the building and grounds.--Cuba Patriot.
