Below is a story entitled "The Murders" taken from the Caneadea Town Newsletter for July, August and September 2004. The story was written (and used here with permission of the author) by Gert Hall, Historian - Town of Caneadea,NY.
The story is based on facts from an incident September 8, 1927, the only time in the history of the New York State Police that two officers in the line of duty were killed at one arrest.
