Pitts Family: Harold, Preston, Henry, Ruth, Alice

Picture was taken from the book “ Dumbest Kid In The Third Grade” written by Robert V. Broughton, son of Ruth Pitts Broughton.

Harold played piano, Preston played banjo and married his music teacher (Nellie Strong), Henry played xylophone, Ruth played piano and mother, seated (Alice Dodge Pitts) played a mean harmonica. Dumont not in the picture husband to Alice and father to Harold, Preston, Henry and Ruth play violin for a living and his violin was given to him by Prof. Baxter. This violin is still in the family today, as is the banjo, xylophone and piano
