TOWN OF ALMA

Picture Gallery Page 2

The 4 pictures below are from a Panoramic Picture that I scanned in sections.  They are labeled 1-4 and start at the lower (Eastern) end of Allentown at the former Allentown Garage area.  The photographer was Stewart c.1933

Lower Allentown Section 1

Allentown Garage is visible here. The drilling rigs at the highest point (upper left) are on the upper Patterson-Mitchell Lease. This lease was on the hill behind the school. Boyd Property, Swarthout Property & Oil Gathering Tanks.

DRUM ROAD AREA

Vincent property, Blackman property, Webster Home and Drilling rigs. c.early 1930's

BETWEEN DRUM ROAD & GASOLINE ALLEY

Later to be Alfred Ford family home. Note the gravel pit and power houses dotted around the hills.

"GASOLINE ALLEY"

I can smell it now! View at far right of Norton Summit & start of the Knight's Creek Valley.

As time permits this area will continue to grow; I have two more panorama views of Allentown.  RT
