In front of Hotel, Central House

Unknown Names; Hotel was converted into a dwelling. Known residents were Hackett Family and later in 1950's Raymond Hurlburt. The barn in the rear served as a hostelry.

6-22-1922. What beautiful cars!

Joe Matson 10 months.

Only child of Albert J. and Sylvia Fitch Matson. Graduated from Notre Dame & killed piloting an airplane in WWII. Albert J. Matson also graduate of Notre Dame & well known lawyer in Bolivar and one time owner of Coleseum in Ceres.

John Fitch

Setting behind home on Sheffield Ave (Now White Hill #1). John & wife, Maggie Lyon Fitch lived just south of Charles York house.

Wife of John.

Myrthe Woodard & Irene Wentworth Nagle.

Irene was mother of William Wentworth Nagle who died in 2004. Wentworths lived in Witheytown (also called Sawyers & Homestead). Irene remarried a Mr. Doyle.

PARTY at Storms (George Storms)

Sept 1, 1915. Right Rear, Blanche Adams, then 15yrs & Donald R. Adams, 17yrs. They married in 1920. Donald died 12/1956, Blanche died at 99 in 1999. Probably Anna Storms, long-time teacher at Allentown is in picture.

Re: Photo above, "In Front of Hotel, Central House"

From Ric Main:  I can give certain identity to at least one individual; my father "Shorty". He is at far left with foot up and toes hanging out of shoe. He was living on Knights Creek Road at the time with his parents Samuel and Alice Main.  He appears to be in his his very early twenties, I am guessing 20-25, which would date the photo 1929-1934. I have confirmed this with each of my siblings and photos I have of him from the time period.

The man/boy in front row with dog on lap I think is Ed Allen who was about my dad's age.
