According to information furnished, the old District School was located at bottom of Harris Road near intersection of Cryder Creek Road.  It was moved many years ago to Wellsville on the Gypsy Lane Road and is a most attractive home.  Below is as it looks today.......

District #3 School - Spring Mills, NY

According to a map published by W. B. Thrall Map & Survey Co of Perry, NY, in 1929,

The Spring Mills School was District #3 school in Town of Independence at an elevation of 2090.

Thanks to Linda Smith, below is a 1910 Souvenir with listing of students.

In preparing to publish the above listing of students I read the list several times and finally realized that my wife's Grandfather is in the list, though badly spelled!  Lewis Scoville is undoubtedly the correct spelling of the displayed Lewice Sovocool.....?
