Let me introduce myself. My name is Bridget Morrissey, and I am the Webmaster and Coordinator of this Clinton County, NY Website. The Assistant Coordinator is Emily Ford, an able and dedicated person. This site is affiliated with both ALHN and AHGP and is the only Clinton County site on either network.
That being said, let me welcome you here! You must, like Emily and me, have an interest in Clinton County genealogy and/or history. We believe that this wonderful county deserves to be spotlighted and we intend to do our best to do just that.
We plan to invest a lot of time entering data onto this Website, so please bookmark it and check back frequently. We are currently working on biographies, town/village/post office histories, and the Plattsburgh Centennial Celebration of 1914, but there will be much more to follow! I have been interested in Clinton County for 17 years so I have accumulated a lot of sources and raw data which I would like to post on this site. (If anyone has the time to help us enter this data into the computer, plase contact me as your help would certainly be appreciated!)
If you find that you like our site, we have three requests of you. First, please let us know if you see a search engine or genealogy links list that we should be on but aren't. Second, tell others about our site whenever possible. "Word of mouth" is usually the best advertisement. And third, please let us know if you have any suggestions, or if you find any errors, typos, or broken links on our site
