Record of the Last Will and Testament of John Stoliker late of the town of Stuyvesant deceased, as a Will of real and personal Estate with the proofs relating thereto taken in the Court of the Surrogate of the County of Columbia. 

Recorded April 22d AD 1876

 

Know all men by their Presents That I, John Stoliker of the Town of Stuyvesant, in the County of Columbia, New York, being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament. 

First, After the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses I give devise, and bequeath to my beloved wife Hannah Stoliker all my real Estate that I may do possess of. All my personal property of any name or nature fully meaning that all property of any name & Nature whatsoever to be wholly hers, & fully expect her to do with the same whatever she wishes to do.   

To my Sons I give my love~ 

I hereby nominate and appoint my beloved Hannah Stoliker to be sole Executrix of this my Last Will and testament hereby Revoking any Will by me formally made. 

In witness whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal this 24th day of Jan. 1875

The within testament was subscribed by John Stoliker the testator by his mark as & for his name in and signing [?] of each of us, and was at the same time declared by him to be his Last Will and Testament and we at his request signed our names as attesting witnesses.

The Last Will and testament     

Of John Stoliker deceased

 

Columbia County ss:    P. Edward Van Alstyne of the Town of Stuyvesant and Franklin B. Van Alstyne of the Town of Kinderhook in the County of Columbia being first duly sworn in open Court in their oath do depose and say that they are subscribing witnesses to the Instrument now shown to them purporting to be the Last Will and testament of John Stoliker late of the Town of Stuyvesant in the County of Columbia aforesaid, deceased and naming [or claiming] date on the 24th day of June in the year of our Lord 1875, that the deponent signed their names as witnesses to said Instrument at the request in and in the presence of said John Stoliker.  And in the presence of each other, that the deponents saw the said John Stoliker execute the Said Instrument, and heard him declare the same to be his Last Will and testament, at which time the said John Stoliker was upwards of twenty one years of age.  And of sound mind and memory and not under restraint to the knowledge or belief of the deponents.  That the said John Stoliker in now dead and was at the time of his death an inhabitant of the Town of Stuyvesant in the County of Columbia and State of New York.
