     About a mile west from Stottsville, on the old turnpike is Whitlock's Corners, a small hamlet containing half a dozen houses, several shops, a store, and the home of Dr. Isaac M. Schermerhorn, the practicing physician of this part of the town.  His predecessor was the late Dr. Henry Heermance.
