Wheras by an act of Assembly entiteled an act for better explaining and More effectuall putting in execution an act of gererall assembly made in The thrid year of the late King William and Queen Mary entiteled an act For defraying the publick and necessary charge throughout this province And for maintaining the poor and preventing Vagabonds made in the Second year of Queen Anne. By vertue of the same the supervisors have caused the assessors to rate & Assesse the freehoulders inhabitance residents and sojorners for to defray The publick and necessary charge of the County to the year one thousands Seven hundred and twenty three & four on ye sixteenth day of January in Ye Tenth year of his Majestys reaign. And persuent thereunto have annexed the tax rolle amounting for ye whole County one hundred and twenty three pounds four shillings Dutchess County |

| To pay to Mr. Abraham Dupyster jun for Kings Tax upon that act of assembly for raising the quantity of three thousand ounces of plate for the effectual sinking and cancelling bills of credit to that value whareof Dutches County is to pay fifty seven ounces and half which was to have been collected on or before the second Tuesday in the month of June next ensuing the publication of that act which was published the first dan of November Anno 1722. |

To Mr. Abraham Dupyster jn. Treasur for Kings Tax upon that act of assembly For raising and levying the quantity of five thousands three hundred and fifty Ounces of plate for the uses therein mentioned and for striking and making Bills of credit for that value whareof Dutchess County is to pay fourty two Ounces ten penny weight yearly and every year dureing the said three years the First payment of ye said act the quantity of one thousand seven hundred and Eighty three ounces six penny weight and sixteen grains of said plate on or Before the first day of May which will be in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and twenty four whareof the quota of ye County of Dutchess Is forty two ounces; and the remainder to pay to Coll. Leonard Lewis Treasuror For the County of Dutchess on or before the twenty fifth day of March now next Deducting nine pence per pound for collecting the aforementioned sum and if Any person deny refuse neglect of delay to pay unto you such sume or summs Of mony as aforesaid then you are impoured to distraint and levy the sum on His or their goods and chattels and to dispose of the destress so taken as the law Doth direct hereof fail not at your uttmost peril given under our hands & seals In the teenth year of his Magestys reign George King of Great Brittin Annoq Domini 1723/4 To Collectors Roulef Kip |
