Dutchess County {Ss} We Vnder written Justicees of the peace for Dutchess County Assigned to the Collector of the North & Middel Ward & South Ward of ye County Of Dutchess GREETING You are hereby in his Majestyes name commanded persuant to one act of Generall Assembly as you will find recited at the head of your tax rolle and also an accoumpt Of County charges amounting for the whole County the sum of seventy pounds teen Shillings & nine pence £ 70. 10. 9. The proportion of the North ward is to pay to Johannes Van Kleeck Esq. Upon the Twenty nine pounds fifteen shillings act the sum of fourteen pounds tow shillings |

It is To repay Major Barent Van Kleeck a certain sum of money taken from him at intrest For ye Countys vse and sent to New York for to pay said above mentioned Kings tax For ye Treasuror of New York the sum sent was £ 30. 9. 10. And we must alowe Said Barent Van Kleeck reasonable intrest for the vse of ye same the time of paying This Kings tax was elapsed which oblidged us to take this meathed for fear of being Troubled by ye Kings Attorney Generall as pr ye act. The above sumes for the Kings tax already Payd in New York by takeing the money at intrest from Major Van Kleeck at or beforeThe teenth day of March now next comeing saving to your self nine pence in the pound For collecting & paying said sum or sumes of money; you are to observe that you likewise pay to the County Treasuror for ye County of Dutchess Mr Lowerence Van Kleeck your proportions of the County charges as above mentioned at or before theTwenty fifth day of March now next ensuing saveing to your selves nine pence in the Pound for collecting and paying said above said sum or sumes of money and if any Person or persons deny refuse neglect of delay to pay you such sume or sumes of money As you shall find mentioned in your tsx roll’s then you are inpowred to destrent levey The sum on his or their goods & Chattels and to dispose of ye distress so taken as the Law doth direct for so dowing for your so dowing this shall be your sufficient warrant Hereof fail not at your vttmost peril given under our hands and seals this in the second Year of our reign Ano 1728/9 |

Memorandem that on the eight day of January in the year of our Lord God Annoqe Domini one thousand seven hundred and twenty nine & thirty; Mr Lowerence Van Kleeck Treasuror for Dutchess County has given a true accoumpt of all the moneys Delivred in his hands as County Treasuror and there is still remaining in his hands The sum of three pounds two shillings & one penny of the year one thousand seven Hundred and twenty eight & nine as pr recept upon record dated January the fourth Day and now by those list made in said year the remains in dept of money in his hands The sum of eight shillings which in the whole of one penny for which we order said Memorandem to be recored in our County records as wittness we have hereunto vnder Subcribed our hands.
