My Great Great Grandmother is Rachel Siphrona HARWOOD. She was born Sept 16 1829 in Erie Co. N.Y. She was married to William Wallace JOHNSON. William was born April 13 1827 in Wyoming Co. N.Y. Looking for information on the family of Ambrose HUMMEL, baptized 5/1/1833, in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY. Ambrose HUMMEL was the son of Michel HUMMEL and Maria ROMBACH, b. Germany. Would like to find brothers and sisters of Ambrose HUMMEL, and information on the death of his parents and/or where they moved after Buffalo. The family appears in the 1840 census in Erie Co., NY, but is absent from the 1850 census in NY. Ambrose HUMMEL is found in Manitowoc Co., WI in 1855, Portage Co., WI in 1860, and Green Bay, Brown Co., WI in 1870-1910.

My g-grandmother was Anna KRIEGBAUM BUCHHEIT born 3 Nov. 1858 in Buffalo. Her parents were John KRIEGBAUM and Elizabeth ZUNNER. any information on this family would be appreciated. I know she had a brother Frank and 2 sisters. They lived in Williamsville. She married Joseph BUCHHEIT in 1881. She died Feb. 1934.

Looking for information on Anna Louise SCHNEIDER and brother Eric SCHNEIDER. Both were born around the turn of the century in Essen, Germany. Anna married Otto AICHER and died in 1938 in Bowmansville, NY months after giving birth to their only child, Anna Louise AICHER. Eric died during WW2. We know that there is a connection to the KELLER family. Any help would be appreciated.

Am looking for the parents of Casper Fritz SCHUBERT, born 15 April 1878 in Buffalo and died 1959 in Buffalo. Father's name unknown, but he was a stone cutter and died young from stone dust in the lungs. Father was supposed to have come from Germany as a young child. Mother's name supposed to be Regina COOK or German Version of same. She, also, was supposed to have come from Germany when she was about 11 years old. She married a total of 3 times, all husbands were stone cutters and believe all died of stone dust.

Looking for parents of Henrich HEINTZ, born in 1860 in Germany, came to Buffalo in 1864, had 3 brothers, George, Louis and William and 2 sisters, Sophia and Dorothy. Henrich married Bertha BREIL in Ohio, came back to Buffalo with Lewis Breil, Simon Breil, and Lewis KAPPEL. Henrich is my Great Grandfather, and will share any information I have. Bertha and her family were part of the Zoar Society, Ohio, a religious separatist group from Germany. All of Henry and Bertha's sons (Fredrick, George, and Louis) were born in Buffalo.

I am looking for information on brothers and cousins of GREENTHANER. John and Sepple (also known as Joe) immig. from Bavaria in 1888. Joseph & George immig. in 1893. Joseph BAY was born 15 Apr 1837 in France, near the border of Switzerland. At some point he moved to Cattaraugus Co., where he married Minerva CHURCH. He was a private in Co. A of the 188th Infantry of the NYSV in the War of 1861. He became disabled during the war, and in 1877 moved from Ellicottville to Springville, in Erie Co. He died on October 22, 1907, and I am seeking information on his burial location, and if there are any surviving descendants from his children (Carrie, b. 1868, Charles, b.1870, Emma b. 1874 and Harry b. 1883). Family history has it that he was active in the GAR after the war. I am also interested in his wife's family, the Churches.

Seeking any information about an Adam LAUFFER who according to family stories died standing at the picket against an Indian raid during the Black Hawk War (Battle of Black Rock) circa 1812-1814. He was the son of Bartholomew (Bartol) LAUFFER and Anna Maria DRUMM LAUFFER of Westmoreland County, PA. Adam was born 24 Dec. 1774 in Moore Township, Northampton County, PA. His parents shortly after that moved to Greensburg, Westmoreland County, PA. Adam probably joined the army in Pennsylvania.

My great grandfather, Thomas Patrick MCCALL, married Fannie Mitchell FOULK in 1882 in Buffalo, N.Y. Fannie was from Cecil County Maryland and Thomas was from Ireland. The family story says that Thomas was born in 1850. His parents died when he was 6 or 7 and he came to the US to live with his sister, who had married a man named "LAWYER/LAWLOR". Any information would be appreciated.

Looking for any information on John PFIFFNER (PFIFNER or PIFFNER), moved to Buffalo from St. Louis, approx 1880-1887, married Mary WILLIAMS in 1887 in Buffalo. Left to go to Chicago before 1900. Son Paul Durand born 1889. The information I have is from "family history" and has not been proved. I'm curious why he moved to Buffalo and have to assume that it was for relatives or employment.
