I am looking for information on John H. DELISLE who was born in Buffalo 1865 or before. He married Anna or Emma GRIFFRIC from Canada. Their daughter, Lillie DELISLE GARY, was born in 1886 in the village of Clyde, town of Galen, Wayne County, NY. Lillie was my grandmother. Lillie married Edward GARY, Jr., between 1910 and 1914.

Unknown GARFOOT Married Albert WAITE. They resided in Boston/Springville, NY-then in Derby, NY. They had three children: Mae WAITE, Harold WAITE, and Gladys WAITE. Albert WAITE and his wife (unknown first name) are buried in the Maplewood Cemetery in Patchin, NY. Any information is appreciated.

Michael MILLER immigrated from Sussex, England to Amherst with 1st wife and kids between 1834 & 1835; 1st wife Elizabeth STEVENS died between 1841 and 1847; m. 2nd wife Lydia BOTTEN (dau. of James and Frances BOTTEN) before 20 September 1848, birthday of Mary Jane (Jennie), my g-g grandmother. Lydia died between 1853 and 1855 (prob. during childbirth of 3rd dau. Martha/Mattie); Michael died after 1860-shows up in 1860 census as a teamster, living in hotel; does not appear in 1865 census; Mattie adopted by aunt, Mary Ann COSSINS and Joseph, later married Horace A. WILDER. Interested in all family members, especially marriage and death dates. Michael's mother, Elizabeth, appears in 1855 and 1860 census in home of dau. Jane (and Peter) GROVE in Amherst.

Looking for information on William S. PEACOCK, who may have lived in Erie Co. around 1840. He may have married here, also about 1845. William was born 1826 in England and may have had a son, Henry D., born to this first marriage. William was living alone in Greene Co., Wisconsin in 1850. Any information would be appreciated. Looking for Harriett DEWERLE. She was married to Peter SMITH and they were both from Alsace-Lorraine. Family says that Peter changed the last name from SCHMIDT to SMITH when they came to America. Don't know the date they came over, but my g-grandfather John Henry SMITH was born May 28, 1862 in Buffalo, N.Y., according to his death notice. They also had a son Peter C. SMITH, a daughter Minnie who married to a GARLANO, and another daughter who married Ira HAMME and moved to Detroit, MI. The family stories say that Peter and Harriett lived on a houseboat in Buffalo, NY. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for information on my gg-grandfather Peter SMITH (probably changed from SCHMIDT when he came to America) and his wife Harriett DEWERLE. They both came to America from Alsace-Lorraine and were said to be German and French. My g-grandfather John Henry SMITH was born May 28, 1962 in Buffalo, NY., according to his death notice. Peter and Harriett had another son Peter C. SMITH whom I believe was older then John, and they also had a daughter Minnie who married a GARLANO, and another daughter who married an Ira HAMME and moved to Detroit, MI. We are looking for information concerning John COVENEY (born between 1830 and 1834,probably in Cork, Ireland and his wife Catherine FLOYD COVENEY, born in Dublin, Ireland. They were married about 1856 and had 3 sons William J., born 1858 in Machias, N. Y., Daniel born in 1860 in Machias, N. Y. Mary born in 1864, Alice born in 1866 and John born in 1870. According to the 1980 N. Y. census, John and his family lived at 259 Fulton St., Buffalo, N.Y.

On 21 April 1848 in East Hamburg, Erie County, New York, Benjamin William POTTER was born to John Wesley and Mary (AUSTIN) POTTER. He was one of seven children. His siblings were Mina, Mary, Lavina, Rettie, Ira, and Sam. I don't know from where the family came, nor how long it was in Erie County. By the start of the Civil War it was in Indiana. I would appreciate receiving any information which may help trace them. Thank you in advance for any help.

I am trying to locate anyone with CORBETT, BRENNAN, or REYNOLDS in their family history. Hannah REYNOLDS Roarty was my great grandmother and she had at least two sisters that moved to Buffalo, a Nel Reynolds CORBETT and a Mag (Meg) Reynolds BRENNAN.
