- Looking for information on a Rufus WRIGHT that lived in the
Alden, Erie Co., area between 1835 and 1857. He was I assume,
living with his son-in-law James SURRARRER. I was told that there
was a Betsey SURRARRER listed on the 1850 census, Alden area.
I haven't been able to send in for the census. According to an
old family story that I have, Rufus WRIGHT died between 1850-1857
in the Alden, Erie Co., N.Y. area. He had a son named Nathan
WRIGHT. Any help would be very appreciated! Thank you!

- I am seeking any available info on Michael HAAS, his wife,
and seven children, all born in Alsace, France, and all the children
(at least) emigrated to the Erie County/Buffalo, NY, region about
1830 to 1840. The children were Elizabeth, Jacob, Katherine,
Madeline, Michael (b. Abt. 1806, m. Josephine KNEFT (b. Abt 1812
France)), Barbara (b. Abt. 1817 France, m. George RUPP (b. abt
1815 France) in US), and Margaret (b. Abt 1817 Alsace, m. George
HAAS (b. Alsace) in NY 1834).

KEANE from S. Buffalo, NY. He was married to Elizabeth, had one

Clare, Ireland. John J. was reportedly from Kilrush, CO. Clare,
Ireland. John J. KEANE died somewhere between 1960-1963.

- Michael DEISS and his brother, Antony, married sisters Catharina
and Francisca WEISHAAR in Schoenenbourg, Alsace, France, in the
early 1800s, and they came to Tonawanda, Erie Co., around 1838.
They were Catholic. Antony's children who married there: Agatha
married Ignatz GASS; Anthony married first Rufina KNAP/KNAB,
second Agatha SCHLEININGER. Michael's children: Eva married Florenz
HUCK and Anthony (another Anthony) married Eva STECKMEIER. By
the late 1860s, Anthony and Eva (STECKMEIER) DEISS had moved
west to Pierce Co., Wisconsin. Is anyone working on these families?

- My grandmother, Elizabeth Lorraine EDGAR was supposed to
have been born in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY on Aug. 15, 1884. Her
parents were Mathew EDGAR and Martha SHIELDS EDGAR. I have sent
everywhere for her birth certificate, but no luck. Am also trying
to find out if her father Mathew EDGAR was naturalized there
in Erie Co., NY. Mathew was supposed to have immigrated in 1881;
Martha in 1882-I assume to NY. Don't know where to start to look
for that. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

- Searching for Charles Phillip FRIEDMAN, my grandfather. He
was married to a Mary CLAYBOU. They resided in Sardinia New York
in Erie county. They had four or five children and my father,
Charles Phillip FRIEDMAN II was born in Buffalo, New York on
Dec 2, 1884. He left Erie County sometime in the early 1900's.
Two of his brothers also left and emigrated to Cook County, Chicago,
Illinois. My father married Della M. BRUCE, in Chicago, on November
21, 1929. Appreciate any information I can get. I do not know
anything about my father's family except what is here. Thanks

- Seeking information on Walker William LILLEY, who lived in
Buffalo during 1920's and 30's. He was a carpenter by trade but
loved and played semi-pro baseball for a Buffalo traveling team.
He first lived in Angola around 1922-26 and then moved to Buffalo,
where he lived on Barthel St., E. Amherst St. and Sanders Rd.,
during the remaining years. He was married to an Edna HOFFMAN
(from Germany) and they had a daughter named Norma. He was a
member of the Phoenix Masonic Lodge in Gowanda, in 1924 and later
at the Erie Lodge in Buffalo. Thanks for any information you

at some point to Buffalo, Erie Co, NY. He married Charlotte A.
FROST, but not sure if they married in NY or not. They had at
at least 3 children: Sarah b. 1841, Louisa b. 1844 and Richard,
Jr. b. 1847. Richard FORSTER, Sr. and children show up in Terre
Haute, Vigo Co, IN in 1860--not sure where Charlotte died. FORSTER

born abt 1807 in Baden, Germany, married Sohpronia KINTZ. She
was born abt 1810 in Baden, Germany. They had six children: Sophronia,

- I am looking for any records of my ancestor, William Shelton
EASTABROOK(S), EASTERBROOK(S) who was born on November 2, 1859
in Buffalo, NY. I need some record that show's his parents to
be Ebenezer H. EASTABROOKS (b. Apr. 30, 1809) and Mary Ann DAY.
The 1860 Census for Ward 10 of Erie County shows Ebenezer and
Mary A., but their 8 month old child is shown as Joseph, and
not William like it should be. Ebenezer, William's father, is
reported to have started the Buffalo Daily Sun Newspaper and
ran it until he drowned in 1861. I figure if that newspaper is
around somewhere, they would have printed the birth announcement.

- Researching Pearl SEARS of Sardinia, Erie Co., New York.
Pearl SEARS was the daughter of Charles Phillip FRIEDMAN and
Mary CLAYBOU (sp) and in 1938 lived in Sardinia. She had tree
brothers, Eugene, Edwin and Charles Phillip II. All three boys
emigrated to Chicago, Illinois around the 1900's. Pearl SEARS
is my Aunt and I know absolutely nothing about her. My father
is Charles FRIEDMAN II and he was born in Buffalo, NY on Dec
2, 1884.

1865 to present. He was associated with the Richardson Motor
