I need to match some locations to these bible entries! REED family bibles include the following information: Children of Ja's & Eliz'th REED; Rebecca, b.1799, [James] Mcconnell, b.1801, John & Sinthy (twins), b.1803, Robert, b.1805. Children of James & Elizabeth REED [another set]; Rebecca Caroline, b.1845, Martha Ann, b.1847, James A.W., b.1849, Mary L., b.1851, Laura F(J?)., b.1853, Emma L., b. 1855. In addition there is listed Charles William, b.1866 and Minnie, b.1876. Deaths of James REEDs listed are: Emma Louvinia REED, d.1855, Rebecca REED, d.1856, James Mcconnell REED, d.1876, Mary L. REED, d.1887, Mrs. Carrie (Caroline?) R. BURKETT, d.1877, Elizabeth REED, d.1890, Charles A.W. REED, d.1908, Laura Jane BUC___[HY?][RICKEY?], d.1909. Martha Ann (Mattie) REED m. Arthur WARNE (of Cornwall, England), 1879 in Buffalo, NY. 1900 census, Cattaraugus Co., NY lists Martha and both her parents! b. OH. Children of Martha REED and Arthur WARNE, all b.Buffalo, NY were; Jesse Mabel, b.1880, Eva Maud, b.1883, d.1885, Arthur, b.1886, Mildred Lois, b.1889. Arthur WARNE (Sr. and Jr.) last found in 1911 Buffalo City Directory. Jesse Mabel WARNE m. Arthur JOHNSON (of Hamburg, NY) 1905, in Seattle, WA, lived in Vancouver, BC. J. Mabel returned to Buffalo with daughters Helen and Evelyn about 1920 (living with relatives?), then came to CA to live with Helen in 1930's. Many of these relatives went by their middle names. Did James McConnell REED get his middle name from his mother's family? J.Mabel was Methodist, of Protestant Irish descent. Father was from Cornwall, so REED family must have been the Irish side. Mentioned in a WARNE family genealogy, Arthur WARNE's wife Martha REED's family was "from the south." Tucked into one bible was a newspaper clipping stating that "Mr. RICKEY, living near Lagrange", (state and date unknown) was offering his farm for sale, and th! at it was a good place for someone who did business in the city, but wanted to live in the country. I would like to find any information pertaining to WARNE in Buffalo area between 1880-1940, and REED, MCCONNELL, BURKET(T), BUCHY (or RICKEY), WARNE, in Ohio, possibly Pittsburgh, PA, or "the south" prior to about 1900.
