DIED In Canterbury, on the 1st inst., Lebbeus Ensworth, Esq., aged 70. In Franklin, on the 1st inst., Mr. Esains Butts--a revolutionary pensioner, aged 81. In Columbia, on the 6th inst., Mr. Ward Yeomans, aged 80 years. Mr. Y. was among the number of that band of worthies (of whom but few now remain,) who served their country in the war of the revolution. Engaging early in the cause of patriotism, he continued until his death, a firm supporter of the principles of Jeffersonian democracy. |
