APPLETON-At Ipswich, Jan. 7, Mrs. Sarah F. Appleton, in the 85th year of her age, wife of the late Gem James Appleton and daughter of the late Rev. Daniel Fuller of Gloucester.

GILLOTT-At Birmingham, England, on Friday, Jan. 5, Joseph Gillott, steel pen manufacturer, aged 72 years.

HOWE-In Lewisboro, N. Y., on Sunday, Jan. 7, Lucy, widow of he late Jeremiah Howe, in the 78th year of her age.
