NOTICE FOR PUBLICATION.

LAND OFFICE , Yankton, D. T.

May 8th, 1882.

Notice is hereby given that the following named settler has filed notice of his intention to make final proof in support of his claim, and that said proof will be made before register or receiver at Yankton, on Monday, June 12th, 1882, 10 a.m. viz., Jacob Redman, homestead entry No. 1281, for the southwest quarter of section 5, township 95, range 57. He names the following witnesses to prove his continuous residence upon and cultivation of said land, viz: Peter Orth, Gottfried Mehrer, Michael Gall, Adam Mehrer, all of Lesterville, Yankton county, D. T.

Complaint having been entered at this office by John Christopher against Lawrence Noonan for abandoning his homestead, entry No. 4545, dated June 16th, 1880, upon the south half, northeast quarter, section 18, and north half, northeast quarter, section 17, township 96, range 55, in Yankton county, Dakota Territory, with a view to cancellation of said entry; the said parties are hereby summoned to appear at this office on the 14th day of August, 1882, at 9 o'clock a. m. to respond and furnish testimony concerning said alleged abandonment.
