ANDRUSS Uncle Smedley ANDRUSS, residing
with his daughter, Mrs. E. WOODARD, was taken dangerously ill with
pneumonia on Saturday last, Dr. WOODARD, who was immediately called, has
been in almost constant attendance.
At this writing the old gentleman is some better.
Fears are entertained lest his great age (87 years) and extreme
debility preclude recovery. ANDRUSS -
Mr. Smedley ANRUSS of Cohocton, the father of Mrs. MILLARD of
this village (Naples), died quite suddenly yesterday morning at the home
of his daughter, Mrs. Solomon WOODARD.
The funeral is today. (Naples

We learn of the sad death of Miss Carrie HURLBURT, of Middlesex,
daughter of Wm. HURLBURT. She
was an interesting young lady of 16, very much respected by everyone.
She died on Wednesday morning, of inflammation of the lungs.
(Naples Record, Jan. 27, 1882) HURLBURT Miss Carrie HURLBURT, daughter
of Wm. HURLBURT, died Wednesday morning Jan. 25th, 1882, aged
16 years after a severe illness of one week.
She was considered better on Tuesday until 9 p.m., when she
commenced to sink and could not be rallied from that time to her death. KENFIELD -
Salmon KENFIELD, oldest brother of J. T. KENFIELD of this place,
died very suddenly of gastric fever, at his home in Ishway, Cattaraugus
county on Saturday, last week. Mr.
KENFIELD will be remembered by many of our readers as formerly residing
