On December 22, 1880, she was married to George C. McMillan, who with two sons and two daughters survive, Carlton G., of Canandaigua, Rev. Ray C. McMillan, of Richmondale, O., Mrs. Mary Haak, of East Bloomfield, and Miss Maude L. McMillan, of Canandaigua, two sisters, Mrs. Frank H. Eighmy, of Canandaigua, Mrs. Hiram DePew, of Los Angeles, Cal., two brothers, Carlton A., a twin, of Canandaigua, and Fred G. Davis, of Honeoye. A devoted wife and mother, she fulfilled her ministry of love to those who will most sorely feel her loss. Rev. DeWitt S. Hooker will officiate at the funeral services at the home this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be at Woodlawn.

+ MC FEEGAN - The remains of George MC FEEGAN, aged 75 years, whose death occurred at Buffalo last week, were interred in Woodlawn Cemetery on Sunday. deceased was a former resident of Canandaigua. He leaves his wife, a son, Garry MC FEEGAN of Buffalo; and two daughters, Miss Minnie MC GEEGAN and Mrs. Charles WILCOX, of Isle of Pines.

+ GILBERT - Florence Irene GILBERT, died at her home on Washington street, on Tuesday noon. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Abner W. GILBERT and was born Sept 24, 1901. Deceased was a regular attendant at school until she suffered an attack of rheumatism in January. Other complications appeared and she gradually failed until death ensued. She possessed in an exceptional degree the traits of a lovable daughter and companion and her death is a painful affliction. Besides her parents, there survive two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Roy. L. MC CLURE, of Middlesex, Mrs. Clinton EMORY of Victor and A. Harold GILBERT of Canandaigua. Rev. Dewitt S. HOOKER officiated at the funeral services yesterday afternoon. Interment was at Woodlawn.

+ Mrs. W. M. SPANGLE and Miss Adeline GODFREY will entertain the ladies of the Eastern Star at their home on Gorham street, this afternoon.

+ Mr. & Mrs. George T. THOMPSON and daughters, Elaine and Jeska, are expected home today, after spending four months at Los Angeles, Cal.

+ Walter M. SMITH, who has recently been employed at Rochester, has resumed his former position at the Walk Over Shoe store. Mr. & Mrs. SMITH will reside on Bristol street.

+ Mrs. Thomas H. O' BRIEN, Gorham street, and Mrs. J. Charles SMITH, West Gibson street, spent Tuesday with Mrs. Jay L. BURTON at Honeoye Falls.

+ Miss Mary HAMMOND, of Elmira, formerly of Canandaigua, was an over Sunday guest at the home of Mr. & Mrs. M. O. EVANS, Bristol street.

+ Hon. and Mrs. Harry I. DUNTON are at their summer home, west lake shore, for the season.

ATTEMPT TO COMMIT SUICIDE

Canandaigua, N.Y. - May 18 - George McGOWAN of Penn Yan, tried to commit suicide in the lockup last evening by hanging with a handkerchief, but was discovered and cut down by Assistant Chief of Police SHEEHAN. He had been arrested for public intoxication and used two handkerchiefs to suspend himself from the bars of the cell.

LARGE CLASS CONFIRMED
Canandaigua, N.Y. - May 18 - A class of 105 persons was confirmed at St. Mary's Church here last evening by Bishop Thomas F. HICKEY of Rochester, who addressed the class before and after the rite of confirmation had been conferred. The total abstinence and anti-cigarette pledges were signed by all the members of the class.

+ BENHAM - WOOD - Amid the profusion of June roses, peonies, daisies and ferns, the marriage of Warren Case BENHAM and Miss Nellie Anna WOOD, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Walter WOOD, Spangle street, was solemnized at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The ceremony was performed by Rev. E. J. BROOKER of Seneca Castle, in the presence of 60 relatives and friends of the bride and groom. They were unattended. The bride wore a gown of white crepe de chine with shadow lace trimmings and carried white roses. Following the ceremony the guests were served at the wedding dinner. The bride's table of 12 covers was centered with white carnations. The smaller tables were centered with white peonies, daisies and ferns to carry out the color scheme of green and white. The wedding music was played by Miss Ruth BENHAM, sister of the groom. After a short trip, Mr. & Mrs. BENHAM will reside with the bride's parents. Guests were present from Mt. Vernon, Rochester, Victor and Canandaigua. Among the prenuptial event was a variety shower by Mrs. Anson GAGE on Saturday.

+ VANCE - BOWLLAN - The marriage of William E. VANCE and Miss Katherine E. BOWLLAN, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Louis BOWLAN, Chapin street, took place at the rectory of St. Mary church, on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. James T. DOUGHERTY performed the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of white silk crepe trimmed with chiffon and shadow lace and carried bride roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Anna BOWLLAN, who wore white crepe voile and carried pink roses. The groom's attendant was Leon NIGHAN of Lima. A reception was held at noon at the home, which was decorated with a profusion of roses and potted plants to carry out the color scheme of green and white. Covers were laid for 12 at the brides table. The guests were served by Misses Gertrude BOWLLAN, Agnes COLLINS, Margaret MC KAY, Mary GILLESPIE and Helen COWAN. Mr. & Mrs. VANCE left during the afternoon for a western trip, after which, they will reside upon the groom's farm on the middle road. Among the guests from out of town, were: Mr. & Mrs. Louis VANCE, Mrs. J. W. O'BRIEN, Mr. & Mrs. Will O'BRIEN, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph O'BRIEN, Mr. & Mrs. J. R. DOYLE, Rev. M. J. O'BRIEN, all of Rochester; Mr. & Mrs. Samuel CHAMBERLAIN of East Bloomfield; Mrs. Minnie WHITE, of East Rochester; and Miss Olive DWYER of Livonia.

+ ECKLER - WEGMAN - The marriage of Dr. Harry Franklin ECKLER, formerly of Canandaigua, and Miss Elizabeth Thelma WEGMAN, took place at Rochester on June 11. Rev. John E. MASSETH, formerly of Canandaigua, performed the ceremony. The groom's parents are Mr. & Mrs. (cut off)

+ Mrs. Harrison B. FERGUSON and Miss Julia M. FERGUSON, Howell street, entertained on Wednesday afternoon in honor of Mrs. Harry W. FERGUSON, of New York City.

+ Miss Anne DAVIDSON, Main street north, Miss Julia M. FERGUSON, Howell street and Mrs. Harry FERGUSON and son, of New York City, were Sunday guests at "The Hickories".

+ Mr. & Mrs. George C. JONES left on Monday for an extended western trip and will later settle in Wenatchee, Wash. Mr. JONES was manager of the cold storage plant on Buffalo street.

+ Miss Grace H. CAMERON, superintendent of the training class at Memorial hospital, is spending a 6 weeks vacation at New York City and at her home at Fort Covington, Canada.

+ Dr. & Mrs. Harry PACKARD and four children, of Urumia, Persia, are visiting Mrs. Frederick W. LATIMER, Main street north. Mrs. LATIMER entertained for the children on Tuesday afternoon.

+ Mr. & Mrs. John RAINES, Howell street, and Mr. & Mrs. John D. HARKNESS, Hubbell street, were Sunday guests of Hon. and Mrs. Harry I. DUNTON, at their cottage on west lake shore.

+ MAHAN - DONOVAN - The marriage of William A. MAHAN of Geneva and Miss Marie Kane DONOVAN, daughter of Mrs. William J. DONOVAN, Park avenue, took place at St. Mary's church on Tuesday morning, Rev. William J. DONOVAN, of St. Charles, Ill, brother of the bride, performed the ceremony and Rev. James T. DOUGHTERY celebrated the nuptial mass. In the sanctuary were Rev. John B. SULLIVAN of Rochester, and Rev. Walter MC CARTHY, of Sonyea. The bride wore a gown of white satin, trimmed with chantilly lace and pearls and carried a bouquet of sweet peas and bride roses. Her tulle veil was caught with orange blossoms. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Clarence J. FLAHERTY, who wore pink crepe de chine with a white lace hat and carried pink roses. the groom was attended by his brother, Stephen MAHAN. The ushers were Stephen J. SWEENEY and Dr. Thomas J. BRENNAN of Geneva. Miss Gertrude TOUHEY rendered the wedding music. Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Clarence J. FLAHERTY, Park avenue, to 30 relatives and close friends of the bride and groom. The tables were decorated with pink and white sweet peas and carnations and similar flowers were used throughout the house. Covers were laid for 14 at the bride's table. Mr. & Mrs. MAHAN left during the afternoon for Elmira and Sheldrake Springs, after which they will reside in Geneva, where Mr. MAHAN is local manager of the Bell Telephone Company. The couple were recipient of many beautiful gifts.

+ BECKER - REICHEL - The marriage of Wolfgang BECKER of Canandaigua, and Miss Emma REICHEL took place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Erhardt REICHEL, 18 Treyer street, Rochester, on Tuesday evening. Rev. Frederick FRANKENFELD, pastor of the Salem German Evangelical church, performed the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of society satin trimmed with silver lace, and carried a bouquet of roses. Her veil was made cap fashion. Her attendant, Miss Matilda SCHOEN, wore pink crepe de chine and carried lavender sweep peas. Covers were laid for 50 at the supper, following the ceremony. Among the out of town guests were: Mr. & Mrs. Eugene DREYER, Eugene DREYER Jr., and Mr. & Mrs. Harold DREYER of Canandaigua. Mr. & Mrs. BECKER are spending their honeymoon at Atlantic City, after which they will reside in Canandaigua.

+ Miss Elsie M. HULSE, Howell street, and Miss Meda DAVIS, Bristol street, left on Monday for a 3 week trip to Detroit, Mich., Muncie, Ind., and Toledo, Ohio.

Cheshire News - On Friday morning (July 17) occurred the death of Gregory INSSE, a highly respected resident of Cheshire. Mr. INSSE was born in Rochester, Aug 17, 1835. He was one of the eleven children of Gregory and Amelia INSSE. He enlisted April 15, 1861, in Company C., 18th Reg., NY Volunteers. He served in the infantry for two years under Col. JACKSON and then in the 2nd Brigade, 3rd division. He was in the following battles: Fairfax Station, Gains Mills, Cropmton Pass, Antietiam, Fredericksburgh, Mary's Heights, Salem Church and others in which no loss was sustained. Was ill in the West Philadelphia Hospital for four weeks in 1862, and was honorably discharged in 1863. Mr. INSSE re-enlisted for three years, Dec 23, 1863, under Capt. H. C. CROPMTON, in Co. H., 16th Rev, NY Heavy Artillery, under Colonel MORRISON and served in the following battles: Petersburgh, Richmond, Strandsbury Plains, Derby Town, Ft. Fisher and Wilson's Landing. He was honorably discharge at the close of the war, Aug 21, 1865. Mr. INSSE was united in marriage to Miss Caroline E. DAVIS, who survives. He also leaves a son, Frank E., of this place, one daughter, Mrs. Mary HICKS and two grandchildren, Rachel HICKS and Mrs. SHERMAN of East Bloomfield; also two sisters, Mrs. Victoria GILBERT and Mrs. Mary SEWARD and one brother, Roswell INSSE. The funeral services were held at the late home at 2 pm on Sunday. Interment at Woodlawn.

+ Mrs. M. W. FISHER spent Saturday at Geneva. She found her daughter, Mrs. MOORE and granddaughter, Christine, who are in the hospital, doing nicely.

+ Dr. W. W. SKINNER of Geneva and Dr. A. T. HALDSTEAD of this village, were called to Middlesex on Tuesday, in consultation with Dr. F. M. CHAFFEE for the 7 years old son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry LATHROP, who is very ill.

+ Mrs. Charles KORB and daughter, Hazel, and Mrs. Jennie FOSTER and daughter, Florence, spent Sunday with Mrs. MC CONNELL near Branchport.

+ Mr. & Mrs. Ambrose HARRISON and two daughters, Mr. & Mrs. Earl LAFLER and Allen HARRISON were in Penn Yan on Sunday to attend the funeral of Mr. HARRISON's brother, Frank HARRISON.

+ Miss Gertrude GATES, of Honeoye Falls and Miss Eleanor HOWARD of East Bloomfield, were weekend guests of Miss Carrie LOOMIS.

+ B. E. FOX spent Sunday and Monday with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Vernon FOX, at Italy.

+ Mr. & Mrs. Will SEAMANS of Naples, were the guests the first of the week, of Mr. & Mrs. Frank HOLBROOK.

+ Lucile BALDWIN of Syracuse, is visiting her grandmother and uncle, Mrs. BARNES and son, Robert.

+ Mrs. Oliver GOODRICH and two children, visited the former's parents, Mr. & Mrs. John WEED, at Penn Yan over Sunday.

POPULAR YOUNG COUPLE WED COUGEVAN - MURPHY

The marriage of Thomas M. Cougevan, of Canandaigua, and Miss Loretta Marie Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Murphy, Jefferson Avenue, took place at St. Mary's church on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. James T. Dougherty performed the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of white crepe meteor trimmed with chantilly lace, with a large white hat trimmed with plumes and roses. She carried a bouquet of bride roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Madeline Helen Murphy, who wore a pink crepe de chine gown, with black lace hat, and carried a shower bouquet. The groom was attended by his brother, Frank Cougevan, of Rochester. A reception was held at the home, following the ceremony. About 70 guests attended.

The home was decorated with roses and asters, to carry out the color scheme of pink and white. Covers were laid for 12 at the

bride's table, centered with roses. Pink and white favors were used. The guests were served by Miss Sybil Hauver, of Elmira, Miss

Katherine Griffin, of Rochester, Misses Emily Van Horn, Jennie Curran, Katherine O'Brien and Margaret VanDeusen, of Canandaigua. Mr. and Mrs. Cougevan were about to leave for their honeymoon, surrounded by friends and relatives at the station, when Mr. Cougevan's father, Patrick Cougevan, was fatally injured. Their trip was postponed. Mr. and Mrs. Cougevan will reside in Atwater Place. The out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. William Cougevan, of Watkins, James Cougevan and daughter, Helen, of Penn Yan, Miss Sybil Hauver, of Elmira, Misses Corrine and Katherine Griffin, of Rochester.

Hastening to bid his son, Thomas and bride Godspeed on their wedding journey, Patrick Cougevan, aged 67 years, of Penn Yan, was struck and fatally injured by an incoming Pennsylvania train in front of the New York Central station at 8 o'clock on Wednesday evening. His right hand and right foot were severed, and he was injured about the head. He was hurried in the Memorial hospital by attending physicians and Dr. Mulligan, of Rochester, summoned. Everything possible was done for the injured man, who slightly regained consciousness after the accident, but died at 8:20 on Thursday morning. The family who were at the station with the bridal party, were overcome when they realized the seriousness of the accident.

Deceased was born in Ireland, and was at one time a resident of Canandaigua. He had been employed as section foreman of a division of the Pennsylvania railroad for a great many years, and a few years ago received a prize for maintaining the best piece of track on the Elmira division of the road. It is understood that he was to be pensioned in a month or two. Mr. Cougevan is survived by five sons, William, of Watkins, James of Penn Yan, Frank, of Rochester, Joseph and Thomas, of Canandaigua, one daughter, Mary Cougevan, of Canandaigua, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Meath and Mrs. Norah Flynn, of Canandaigua. The funeral services will be held from St. Mary's church tomorrow morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.

+ Mr. & Mrs. Clay WOOD and daughter, Dorothy, of Washington D.C., have been guests of Dr. & Mrs. George D. WOOD, at Pearl Beach.

+ Mr. & Mrs. Marion I. CASE, Main street north, and Mr. & Mrs. W. J. KIBBE, Bristol street, will spend Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. C. H. CAPLE, east shore.

+ ROBINSON - The death of Mrs. Harriet N. ROBINSON of Vine Valley, occurred at Willard State Hospital, where she had been confined six weeks, on Saturday. Deceased was born in Canandaigua, 71 years ago and was the daughter of Samuel & Anne Nowlen GREENLEAF. There survives one son, Robert, of Vine Valley. The funeral services were held at the home of Frank BATES, Park street, on Monday morning. Rev. Herbert L. GAYLORD officiated. Interment was in West avenue cemetery.

+ GARDNER - FOX - The marriage of Aulda Lewis GARDNER of Canandaigua, and Miss Lulu Elida FOX, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John FOX of South Bristol, took place at the Methodist parsonage yesterday afternoon. Rev. DeWitt S. HOOKER performed the ceremony. the attendants were William FOX, a brother of the bride and Miss Frieda EICHENBERGER, of Bristol Springs. The couple left during the afternoon for Boston where they will reside.

+ BREEN - RIPPEY - The marriage of D. Arthur BREEN of Palmyra and Miss Ida J. RIPPEY, Wood street, took place at St. Mary's rectory on Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Rev. J. E. HARTLEY of Palmyra officiated. Mr. & Mrs. BREEN are spending some time in the Adirondacks after which they will reside in Palmyra.

+ WILBUR - The death of Mrs. Hortensia M. WILBUR, wife of Cyrus H., occurred at her home in Cheshire yesterday, noon. Deceased was born in Canandaigua, on Feb. 24, 1831 and has lived in Cheshire. She was the daughter of Thomas J. LUCAS. In 1835 she was married to Cyrus H. WILBUR, who with one son, Hiram Melvin, survives. The funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Herbert L. GAYLORD will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Bank cemetery.

+ Miss Nancy NISBIT of Avon, has been the guest of John N. BATES and family, Scotland road, having been called here by the death of Mrs. Harriet Greenleaf ROBINSON.

+ Mrs. F J. SLEGHT and three children, who have been spending several weeks with Mrs. Lydia M. WILLYS, Main street north, will return to their home in Indianapolis, Ind., today.

+ Mrs. J. E. DAYTON, Gorham street, was called to Buffalo this week by the death of a cousin, Miss Catherine HURD. Miss HURD and a young lady companion were drowned in Lake Erie on Sunday.

+ Mrs. I. A. SAGE, who is visiting her niece, Mrs. Edward O. SMITH, Howell street, will eave next week for her home in Garden City, L.I. She will be accompanied by Miss Linda B. COMBES, who will remain there for two weeks.

+ Lieutenant Gooding PACKARD, who was graduated from West Point in June, left on Wednesday for Fort Monroe, Va., where he will enter the coast artillery service. Mr. PACKARD has been spending the summer with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. W. S. PACKARD, Gorham street.

+ WALLACE - GLEASON - The marriage of Dr. William Robert James WALLACE and Miss Margaret Lillian GLEASON, only daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Patrick GLEASON, took place at St. Mary's rectory on Monday morning at 6 o'clock. Rev. James T. DOUGHERTY performed the ceremony. Dr. & Mrs. WALLACE will be at home at 426 Main street north, after November 1.

+ Mr. & Mrs. James MEATH and Mrs. Edward CARNEY of Cleveland, Oh., are guests of friends and relatives here. They made the trip by automobile.

+ Mrs. J. Eugene MASTEN, Howell street, has been entertaining her mother, Mrs. John HALL of Rochester, and Miss Hazel VAUGHN of Detroit, Mich.

+ Mrs. Charlotte ALLEN, Chapin street, celebrated the 86th anniversary of her birth yesterday. A birthday dinner was given in her honor by Mrs. Jabez M. VAN DEVYVER.

+ Miss Marian POWER, Howell street, entertained on Friday evening for Miss Margaret DWYER, who left on Tuesday to enter the training class at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester.

+ Edward FREED, who joined the Navy a year ago and who has since been stationed on the surveying boat "Hannibal" in Panama, is at his home on Chapin street, on a 30 day furlough.

+ MORAN - The death of Mrs. Bridget O'Keefe MORAN, widow of Thomas, occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. N. FREEMAN, in Rochester on Saturday. Deceased was born in Ireland on May 1, 1830, and came to this country in 1850 and settled in Canandaigua, in the homestead where she had since resided. Mr. MORAN died on July 7, 1912. The funeral services were held at Corpus Christi church on Monday morning. There survives two daughters, Mrs. FREEMAN and Mrs. Mary E. MC NULTEY, and two grand daughters, Katherine R. and Elizabeth MC NULTEY, of Canandaigua.

+ DINGLEY - The death of Mrs. Mary Fletcher DINGLEY, wife of Benjamin R., for many years was a resident of Canandaigua, occurred at Buffalo on Tuesday. She had been in failing health, for some weeks. There survive besides her husband, two daughters, Mrs. David ROBERTSON of Berkley, Cal, and Mrs. George CURTIS, of Buffalo; her mother, Mrs. Sarah STOKES of Rochester, and a brother, Albert E. FLETCHER of Canandaigua. The funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. CURTIS, this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be at Buffalo.

+ NARROW ESCAPE IN AUTO ACCIDENT - Henry E. BOYCE, Drives into Open Sewer On Howell Street - Machine Smashed. Driving his automobile down Howell street on Saturday evening, Henry E. BOYCE, of Chapin street, rode into a pile of dirt and plunged into a trench in front of the premises of J. E. MASTEN. The trench extended from the shout curb to within about 7 feet of the north curb. From the position of the lights, Mr. BOYCE claims he believed the obstruction be be on the north side of the street, and before he had time to check the speed of his automobile, it had mounted the pile of dirt, about three feet high, and plunged radiator first into the trench. He was able to cling to his wheel, but his passenger, Mrs. Grace LEE, was thrown out and painfully bruised. Mr. BOYCE suffered some cuts and bruises. The car was considerably damaged. Mr. and Mrs. BOYCE and grand daughter had been to East Bloomfield for Mrs. LEE, who is employed at the home of their son, George BOYCE, East street. Mrs. BOYCE and grand daughter had left the car but a few minutes previous to the accident. On Monday the care was removed to the Hallenbeck garage by order of A. E. Cooley Co., which firm had opened the ditch.

+ Carl LINDERBERRY, Atwater place, is in New York City attending the convention of The Curtis Publishing company as its local representative. He was accompanied by his father, A. R. LINDERBERRY.

+ Mrs. Edward SHOVE, Howell street, has been entertaining her sister, Mrs. Edward JUDSON of Syracuse and her niece, Mrs. Douglas MORGAN of Montreal, Can. Mrs. SHOVE entertained at dinner in their honor on Wednesday evening.

+ The Misses Catherine and Edith WELCH, Gibson street, attended the wedding of their cousin, Raines KESSLER and Miss Dagmar Elizabeth WRIGHT at Brooklyn on Wednesday evening. They will spend several weeks in Philadelphia.

+ DEATH OF WILLIAM FRANKLIN BRACE - He Went to California Two or Three Years Ago

Word was received in this village on Wednesday of the death at Aneheim, Cal., on Tuesday, of William Franklin Brace, formerly of Victor. Mr. Brace was the only son of William and Maria Brace, and was born in Victor and spent the greater part of his life here, having removed to California only two or three years ago.

He was for several years the junior member of the firm of Walling and Brace, which conducted a merchant tailoring business here, but after the death of Mr. Walling he sold out the business and thereafter devoted himself to the breeding of fine poultry, at which he was very successful. He was widely prominent in the poultry world, his birds being awarded many prizes in nationwide competition, and he was much sought after as a judge of poultry. He was engaged in the breeding of poultry in California.

Mr. Brace was also much interested in music and was himself a singer of remarkable sweetness and power of voice. He had achieved much fame in musical circles in Chicago, Rochester and other cities. He was the organizer and instructor of the old Victor Band.

He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Belle Walling, daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Walling, of Victor.

This community, which for several weeks had followed with deep sympathy the reports of the condition of Mrs. John J. Brady, was greatly saddened Monday, by the news of her death, which occurred in the Homeopathic Hospital, Rochester, on Monday morning at about five o'clock. She had been in poor health for several years, suffering from internal troubles which caused a serious nervous condition, and at times, acute pain. It was thought that an operation would bring about a decided improvement in her health, and she went to the hospital, early in October. She rallied splendidly from the effects of the operation, and there seemed every reason to believe that the hopes of family and friends were to be realized. A sudden change for the worse was followed by decided improvement, but this did not long continue, and for several days preceding her death it was known that she could not recover. Her husband and sister, Miss Mary Keating, were with her throughout her stay in the hospital and at the end.

Mrs. Brady is survived by her husband, her father, John Keating, a sister, Mary M. Keating, and two brothers, William F., and Fred B. Keating, all of Victor. The remains were brought to the home on Maple Avenue, Monday afternoon, and funeral services were held in St. Patrick's church, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, a solemn requiem mass being celebrated by Rev. J. J. Donnelly, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. William Byrne of Rochester as deacon, Rev. James Tischer of Clyde as sub deacon, and Rev. P. A. Neville of East Bloomfield as master of ceremonies. Interment was made in St. Patrick's cemetery on High Street.

Among the many persons who came to Victor, Wednesday, to attend the funeral of Mrs. John J. Brady, were Mrs. Mary Grant and three children, Mr. and Mrs. John Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Granger, Mr. and Mrs. John V. Meade, Mr. and Mrs. John Whelan, Miss Joanna Sullivan and Mrs. M. J. DeLacey of Rochester, John Colmey of Canandaigua, Mr. and Mrs. J. Milton McMahon, of Fairport, Mr. and Mrs. John Driscoll, Miss Nellie Driscoll and Timothy Driscoll, of Lima, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sullivan of Fishers, and Cornelius Sullivan of Bushnell's Basin.

+ Mr. & Mrs. E. G. ALLEN of Farmington and Mrs. Hattie ALLEN of Saratoga were guests at the home of Frank HAWKINS, Tuesday.
