DEATH - Mark Sibley Power at Victor, February 17, 1925 aged 85 years.

Sibley Power, a well known citizen of Victor, this county, died at his home in that village on Tuesday aged 85 years. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Albert B. Parmele of Canandaigua. A brother D. Dewitt Power of Main Street South, this city, also survives. Interment at Victor Cemetery.

POWER - Mark Sibley Power, 85 years old died Tuesday at the home of his son in law, Dr. Charles Rowley of East Main Street. Mr. Power was born in Farmington, and had lived in Victor for thirty years.
He leaves one daughter, Mrs. A. B. Parmele of Canandaigua, two grand daughters, Mrs. Ross Gunn of New Haven, Conn., and Miss Margaret Power of Canandaigua, and a brother, Dewitt Power of Canandaigua.

Besides his wife, Mr. Barry is survived by seven daughters and seven sons, Mrs. J. P. Mertens of New York, Mrs. Peter McMahon and Mrs. James McNamara, of Victor, Mrs. Albert Abrahams of Canandaigua, Mrs. John Wilson and Miss Margaret Barry, of Victor, Mrs. James Feeney of New York, Alfred of Owego, Stephen of Canandaigua, Francis of Lyons, Vincent, Andrew, Thomas and Clement, of Victor, and by 22 grandchildren.

RYAN – At Victor, Apr 23, 1925, Miss Ella Ryan. The death of Miss Ella RYAN occurred at her home on Covill street, Thursday morning, April 23, after an illness of several months. Miss RYAN is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Henry MEAGHER of East Bloomfield, Mrs. Thomas HENEHAN and Mrs. Anna DEMPSEY; two brothers, Thomas and William of Victor, and several nieces and nephews. A solemn mass of requiem was celebrated at St. Patrick’s church Saturday morning, by the pastor, Rev. J. W. E. KELLY with Rev. P. A. NEVILLE of East Bloomfield as deacon and Rev. father DARCY of Canandaigua as sub deacon. Burial was made in the family lot in St. Patrick’s cemetery on High street.

RYAN – Joseph RYAN, 42 years old, died Tuesday morning, Apr 21^st, 1925 at home in Mertensia. The day before his death, Mr. RYAN fell and it is believed that his injuries were the cause of his death. He leaves his father, John RYAN, two sisters, Mrs. Frank GUINAN and Mrs. Lillian R. ALARIE of Rochester, two brothers, Owen of Canandaigua and William of Mertensia. Funeral services were held at 9:30 o’clock on Thursday morning of last week from St. Patrick’s church. Burial was made in St. Patrick’s cemetery.

+ Surrogate Harry I. DUNTON has admitted to probate the will of Elizabeth CONOVER of Victor, who bequeathed all of her property to two daughters, Mabel and Elizabeth M. CONOVER.

The marriage of Miss Isabelle Barry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Barry of Brace street, Victor, to Charles J. Murray of Holcomb, took place at St. Patrick's church, Tuesday morning. Rev. J. W. E. Kelly, pastor of the church performed the ceremony and celebrated a nuptial mass. Miss Nan Ryan played the wedding march and E. J. Ryan sang, "O Salutaris" and "O Promise Me."

bouquet of bride's roses and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaid, Miss Agnes Barry, sister of the bride, wore peach georgette with a fawn colored hat. She carried Ophelia roses. Joseph Murray, brother of the groom, was best man. After the ceremony a breakfast was served at the home of the bride. Covers for twelve were laid at the bride's table. Out of town guests were from Rochester, Holcomb and Canandaigua. A pre-nuptial event was a shower given by Miss Agnes Barry and Mrs. A. R. Concannon at the home of Mrs. Concannon. Mr. and Mrs. Murray left for a trip to the Thousand Islands and the Adirondacks.

OBITUARY - McMahon

Mrs. Michael E. McMahon died at the family home on Maple avenue in this village on Friday July 31st.

Mrs. McMahon had been critically ill for but a short time, but had been in failing health for several years. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Elizabeth, of Victor, four sons, J. Milton of Fairport, William and Jerome of Victor, and Charles of Rochester, also five grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Monday morning, at 8:30 o'clock from the house, and at 9 o'clock from the St. Patrick's church.

Mr. Earl Broderick, brother of the bride, acted as best man.Mr. and Mrs. Kelly left for a wedding trip to New York and to Fleischmanns in the Catskills. Upon their return they will make their home in Niagara Falls, where the groom is engaged in pharmacy. The bride is a graduate of Brockport Normal School and for the last year has been a member of the faculty of Monroe High School. The prenuptial events included a variety shower by Miss Lillian Crowley and a luncheon by Miss Dorothy Smith of East Rochester.

SPANGLER - Amid the scenes of her childhood, to which she had returned with many plans for future usefulness, Mrs. Lena Margaret SPANGLER, wife of Rev. Alpheus M. SPANGLER, passed away on Sunday, August 9th, at the age of 65 years. Lena Margaret NORTON, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin NORTON, was born in Victor, and received her early education here. In 1882, she was graduated from Wellesley College, and became an instructor in a teacher's training school in Rochester. She also taught in West Chester, Pa., in a private school in Hartford, Conn., and was for a time a private tutor and vocal teacher in Stamford, Conn. In 1884, in Rochester, she became the wife of Rev. Alpheus M. SPANGLER, pastor of the Congregational church in Mittineauge, in the township of West Springfield, Mass., where Mr. SPANGLER preached for 20 years. From Massachusetts, Mr. & Mrs. SPANGLER went to Eureka, Kansas, where they remained for three years, leaving there to accept a call to the Congregational church in Eugene, Oregon. After ten years of work in that field, Mr. and Mrs. SPANGLER came to Victor ... (cut off) ... with the great sorrow in the hearts of many friends here is a feeling of gratitude that the inspiration of her presence was theirs for even a few brief weeks. Besides her husband, Mrs. SPANLGER is survived by her daughter, Mrs. George W. HIGINBOTHAM; by her son, Dr. Paul E. SPANGLER of New York City and by a grandson, George Paul HIGINBOTHAM. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Univeralist church at 3 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Robert HIGINBOTHAM of Caledonia officiating, assisted by Rev. Nelson L. LOBDELL. Many beautiful floral tributes gave testimony of the regard in which Mrs. SPANGLER was held by friends here and in the other places where she had lived. Interment was made in Boughton Hill cemetery.

MANN - After a long illness, Rose B. MANN, wife of Willard J. MANN, passed away on Saturday, August 8th, at Park Avenue Hospital, in Rochester, where she had been cared for during the past seven weeks. Rose B. RANSOM, daughter of James and Sarah RAMSOM, was born in Pittsford, 68 years ago. She was married on Sept 21st, 1881 to Willard J. MANN, and for some years, they resided in various cities to (cut off)

MC CLOSKEY - Mrs. Lillian Waltz MC CLOSKEY, wife of John MC CLOSKEY, died at the family residence on the Victor-Mendon died on Thursday, August 27th, at the age of 61 years. Mrs. MC CLOSKEY has been in poor held at for a number of hears, but had not been confined to her bed and attended the Lane-Grinell family reunion at Palmyra, last Saturday. Lillian WALTZ was born at Caughdenoy, NY and was married to John MC CLOSKEY of Victor, 43 years ago. They began housekeeping 42 years ago, on the farm where they have since resided and where Mrs. MC CLOSKEY passed away. Besides her husband, Mrs. MC CLOSKEY is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Henry BAILEY of Victor; a sister, Mrs. F. S. COLLINS of Webster and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the family residence at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, with Rev. J. W. ALLATT of Avon and Rev. A. P. WHITE of Victor, officiating. Burial will be made at North Farmington.

RYAN - William RYAN, aged about 70 years, was found dead in the house on the old Ryan farm on Brace street, early this (Friday) morning. Mr. RYAN who made his home with his sisters, Mrs. Anna DEMPSEY and Mrs. Henry MEAGHER, on Covill street in this village, went to the farm yesterday to help out with the work. Last evening, he complained of not feeling well and decided to remain on the farm instead of driving home. Death occurred during the night and was caused by heart trouble. Mr. RYAN leaves two children, Charles and Clara of Rochester, a brother, Thomas RYAN of Victor and three sisters, Mrs. Thomas HENEHAN, Mr.s DEMPSEY and Mrs. MEAGHER, all of this village. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's church on Monday morning, at 9 o'clock, the Rev. J. W. E. KELLY, pastor, officiating. Interment will be made in St. Patrick's cemetery on High street.

CONDON - Mrs. Mary Cahill CONDON, wife of William J. CONDON, died at her home, Saturday, November 21st, after a long illness. She was born in the town of Farmington, July 25, 1872 and had always lived in this locality. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters and a son, Clara Bell, Loretta and James, by a sister, Mrs. James WELCH of Canandaigua and by two brothers, William and John CAHILL of Farmington. Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church, Tuesday morning, and interment was made in St. Patrick's cemetery.

CONDON - James CONDON died Tuesday afternoon, November 24th, at the family home, No. 68 George street, Rochester. He is survived by his wife, Ellen CONDON and by a son and six daughters, William J. CONDON, and Mrs. Jacob HARTMAN of Victor; Mrs. l. L. BLAISDELL, Mrs. J. P. HALEY and Mrs. E. J. MADER of Rochester; Mrs. E. J. MC KENNA and Mrs. Agnes CONRAD of Florida. Funeral services were held Friday morning from the family home and from St. Mary's church in Rochester. Interment was made in St. Patrick's cemetery in Victor.

RINKER - Archie T. RINKER, aged 53 years, who was principal of Victor High School, 27 years ago, died at his home in Chicago, Ill., on Monday, November 23rd. He is survived by his wife, Grace Achteson RINKER; two sons, Paul and Irving RINKER; one daughter, Mrs. William HANKINSON; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles RINKER of Rochester, and two sisters, Mrs. Herbert CRIPPEN of Rochester and Mrs. Albert MC CLOSKEY of Farmington. Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church, Tuesday morning and interment was made in St. Patrick's cemetery.

+ Mrs. Lillian ROSS spent the past weekend with her sister, Mrs. REEVES, at Henrietta.
