Miss Beatrice L. Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Allen, of Porterville, and Norman E. Tiffany, son of Mrs. Ina Fogarty of this city, were married Tuesday in the Sansville Methodist Church by the bride's uncle, Rev. Almeron Matthews, pastor. They were attended by the brother and sister in law of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Roland B. Tiffany of this city.  They will reside at 164 West Gibson Street.  Mrs. Tiffany is a teacher in the city schools.

 Mrs. George Hemenway - Naples Jan 2   The death of Mrs. Edna Allen Hemenway occurred on Friday at 9 PM following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held at her late home on Monday in charge of her pastor, Rev. F. A. Hawley of the Presbyterian church.  

Her husband George Henenway, passed several years ago. She is survived by relatives in Bristol Valley, where she was born. Mrs. Henenway was a faithful member of the church and active in other organizations. She married George B. Hemenway Bristol, New York, June 30, 1878.

                                                       FORMER ASSEMBLYMAN DIES AT NAPLES  

                                      Hon.   George B. Hemenway Succumbs to Pneumonia After Short Illness

Honorable George B. Hemenway, well known and highly esteemed throughout the community, passed away at his home in Naples on Saturday morning, following an illness  of two weeks with pneumonia.  

 He was born in Waterloo, NY, June 26, 1852, and was the son of Charles G. and Harriet Davis Hemenway. He was educated here in the Canandaigua Academy. He removed with his parents to the town of South Bristol when quite young, and later conducted a store at Bristol Springs, where he did an extensive business for 15 years.  

He held the office of Supervisor of South Bristol for several years, and was postmaster at Bristol Springs for two terms. He was Supervisor of the town of Naples at the time of his election to the Assembly in 1907. He was an ardent Republican.  

On June 30, 1878, he was married to Miss Edna A. Allen, of Bristol. In 1893 he purchased a home at Naples, where he had since resided. His kindly disposition and generosity commended him to the confidence and esteem of all his friends and associates. He was for years a trustee of the Presbyterian church at Naples, and was a liberal supporter. He was also a member of the village school board.

There survive his wife and several nieces and nephews. The funeral services were held at the home on Monday PM, Rev. Joseph H. France officiating. Interment was in Rose Ridge cemetery.

                          MARRIAGE    ALLEN -  BROCKELBANK

The marriage of John Lee Allen formerly of Garrison on the Hudson, and Miss Dorothea Lynde Brockelbank of Canandaigua, took place on Monday evening, Rev. J. N. Sackett a retired pastor, performed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Allen will reside on Howell Street with the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Brockelbank. Mr. Allen is local salesman for the Overland Automobile Company.

The marriage of Miss Dorothea Lynde Brockelbank, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brockelbank, Howell Street, and Mr. John Lee Allen of Garrison, took place in Clifton Springs on Monday evening. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. F. Sackett. Mr. and Mrs. Allen will reside with Mrs. Allen's parents. Mr. Allen is a salesman for the Overland Automobile Company .

                   OBITUARY    ALLEN   

Mrs. Helen DeGroote Allen, wife of Walter Allen, died at their home in Shortsville, January 26, 1945, at the age of 36.  Mr. and Mrs. Allen lived in Victor for a short time following their marriage in 1934.  She had been ill for some time.   Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter Joan Emily, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob DeGroote, of Shortsville, two sisters, Mrs. Frank Secora, and Mrs. John Kennedy, both of Shortsville, and a brother, Sgt. George Mapes, now in Belgium. Funeral services were held in her home. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Shortsville.  

       

           Fred1 Amann was born in Austria 1862.  He married Cora Kesel Honeoye Falls, New York, November 20, 1895

             ROCHESTER  DEMOCRAT  and CHRONICLE   

Amann, Cora Kesel -   Cora Kesel Amann, aged 86, of Honeoye Falls, NY, in Dansville, July 8, 1964. Survived by one son, Royal G. Amann of Mount Morris, NY, one brother, Bert Kesel.  No prior calling hours. Private interment at Honeoye Falls Cemetery.

        

Louis1 Angell had the following child:

 Florence2 Angell     She married Walter Andrews Nott   at Gorham, New York, August 10, 1940.

  WEDDING  BELLS -       NOTT - ANGELL

Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Florence Angell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Angell of Gorham, to Walter Nott, son of Charles Nott of the West Lake Road. Rev. C. E. Opdyke, pastor of Hall Congregational Church, performed the ceremony, Saturday evening, August 10, in the home of the bride's parents.  The bride was attended by Miss Jean Meeks of Canandaigua, and Bernard Pierce of Canandaigua was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Nott are residing in Canandaigua. 

Walter was born Canandaigua, New York January 22, 1913.  Walter was the son of Charles Frances Nott and Minerva Hannah Pierce .  Walter died June 16, 1991 Canandaigua, New York, at 78 years of age. 

       ONTARIO COUNTY TIMES JOURNAL November 21, 1947 

HOPEWELL -    Hopewell Canandaigua Teachers' unit met with Miss Dorothy Mooney, teacher of the Chapin school, on Thursday afternoon.  Mrs. Walter Nott, president, led the business session and Mrs. Thatcher Whitney, teacher of Dist. No. 6, Hopewell Center, had charge of the discussion. Refreshments were served by the hostess.
