September 13, 1904, Mrs. Patience Andrews Wolverton, aged 92 years.

DIED at NINETY TWO - Mrs.
Patience Andrews, wife of Jonas Wolverton, died at her home south of
the village on Tuesday having passed by a month and 4 days her 92nd birthday.
Two years ago Mrs. Wolverton celebrated her 90th birthday and her
activity of body and mind on that occasion was a subject of note.
There
survive besides the husband, one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Orgon of
Naples, one sister Mrs. Lucinda Thwing of California, and one brother, Heman
Andrews of this town. Rev. Dr. J. Wallace Webb officiated at the funeral
services yesterday afternoon. Her
body was
interred 1912 Canandaigua, New York, Woodlawn Cemetery.
She

JONAS W. WOLVERTON DEAD - Aged
farmer passed away early yesterday morning.
Jonas
W. Wolverton died at his home south of this village at 1 30 yesterday
morning following an illness of over two years, during a part of which time he
had been confined to his bed.
Mr.
Wolverton was born in New Jersey 87 years ago and for 75 years had been a
resident of this town, occupying a farm on which he died for over 60 years.
About 55 years ago he married Mrs. Patience Spencer, of this town who
died in October 1904.
One
daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Orgon, of Naples, survives, and one daughter, Mrs.
Elizabeth Wolverton Cribb, first wife of Ira P. Cribb, died many
years ago. Two brothers, Job and Peter Wolverton of this place, also
survive.
Mr. Wolverton was an honorable and upright citizen. He was a member of the Methodist church and until McKinley and Roosevelt won his admiration he was classed among the old time solid Democrats of this town. Burial in Woodlawn. Bearers will be F. D. Cook, G. A. DeGraff, Chester H. Boyce, and Marvin Sutherland.

OBITUARY - WOLVERTON
Thursday
morning at his home near the West Lake shore, occurred the death of Jonas W.
Wolverton, one of the oldest and best known farmers of this vicinity, aged
87 years.
He had been in ill health for about two years.
Mr.
Wolverton was born in New Jersey, but had been a resident of the town of
Canandaigua for about seventy five years. His wife, Mrs. Patience Spencer,
to whom he was married fifty five years ago, is dead as is also one daughter, Mrs.
Emily Cribb.
He
is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Orgon, of Naples, also by two
brothers, Peter and Job Wolverton, of this place. Mr. Wolverton
was a member of the Methodist church and was always a highly respected member of
this community.

OBITUARY - Chapin
- The death of Heman Andrews occurred at his home near this
place at an early hour yesterday morning. Mr. Andrews had reached the
advanced age of 81 years and had been in failing health for a long time. He was
one of the oldest residents of the town and was highly respected.
He leaves his wife, two daughters, Mrs. George Kotteker, of this
place, and Mrs. Emerson VanGelder of Delaware, and two sons, Arthur
and Louis. Funeral from the Methodist church. His
body was interred 1909 Hopewell, New York,
Chapman Cemetery.

ANDREWS - The death of Mrs. Esther D. Andrews, Aged 83 years, occurred
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Kotteker, near Chapin on Monday.
There survive one daughter, Mrs. Kotteker, two sons, Arthur
Andrews of Canandaigua, and Lewis Andrews of San Francisco, Cal., and
four grandchildren. The funeral services were held Wednesday and interment was
in Chapman Cemetery.

CHAPINVILLE - Mr. Fred Andrews died last Thursday morning after a painful illness of eighteen months. For the past five months he had
been totally blind. He reached home in company with his wife, from the far West, some five months ago, scarcely in time to say he could distinctly
see his parents. No medical treatment could help him. Death was his only relief. This he looked for and believed he was prepared for. His age
was
27.
His wife and parents who have tendered every possible assistance, have the sympathy of the entire community. The funeral services took place on Saturday at 10 AM at the M. E. Church in Chapinville, and a very large congregation was in attendance.

OBIT - KOTTEKER
Chapin has lost another prominent and greatly beloved citizen.
George Kotteker, 78, died on Saturday at his home here after several weeks illness. Mr. Kotteker came to Chapin when a young man from
Rochester where he was born. He was a staunch Democrat and served as tax collector for several terms, was postmaster and later assistant
postmaster for 15 years.
He seldom missed Sunday services at the church where he
was a member for 51 years, and trustee for 25 years, and for 14 years janitor of
the church. Mr. Kotteker was a member of McCabee Lodge, Canandaigua for
many years. The largely attended funeral was held from church Monday afternoon
with Rev. Moyer of Milo Center, a former pastor and friend officiating.
Mr. Kotteker leaves behind besides his wife, a son Lloyd Kotteker. Burial in Chapman Cemetery, Orleans Road.
Cornelia B. Andrews was born 1868. Cornelia died December 03, 1915 Canandaigua, New York, at 47 years of age.[i] [i]. Death occurred at the home of her brother Arthur Andrews after a lingering illness at age 47 years.

The death of Cornelia B. Andrews, wife of B. Emerson VanGelder,
of Wilmington, Del., occurred at 3 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of her
brother, Arthur Andrews, town of Canandaigua, after a lingering illness,
aged 47 years.
She
leaves besides he husband, one daughter, Mrs. Mae Boettger, of Wilmington,
Del., two grandchildren, and mother, Mrs. E. D. Andrews, two brothers, Arthur
Andrews, of Canandaigua, and Lewis Andrews, of San Francisco, Cal.,
one sister, Mrs. Anna Kotteker, of Chapin. The remains were taken last
evening to Wilmington for interment.
DIED - VANGELDER - At Canandaigua, Dec. 2, 1915, Mrs. Cornelia B. Andrews VanGelder, wife of B. Emerson VanGelder, aged 47 years. Interment at Wilmington, Del.
She married B. Emerson VanGelder , Hopewell, New York, March 12, 1889. Record number 50 at Hopewell Town Clerk.

Maurice W. Andrews Sr.,
of Lima, died yesterday, December 2, 1993, at Thompson Memorial Hospital in
Canandaigua. He was 96. Mr.
Andrews, the son of the William Royal Andrews, and Irene Bliss Andrews,
was born May 30, 1897 in Bristol, and was owner and operator of Hayes and
Andrews Automobile Dealership in Lima, until his retirement in 1975.
He
was an active member of the Lima Presbyterian Church, where he served as an
elder and trustee and was past master of the Masonic Eagle Lodge 619 F and AM in
Honeoye. Surviving are his daughter, Alice Porter of Rochester, two
granddaughters, Pamela and Kimberly Porter, a niece Irene Gladding, and a
nephew, Irwin Hicks.
