Chester
H. Appleton, 85, died today, November 18, 1959, after a long illness.
He was born in the town of East Bloomfield, a son of Robert and
Fredericka Buetler Appleton. He resided in Honeoye Falls for many years before purchasing
his present home in Bristol in 1948.
He
leaves a daughter, Miss Marguerite Appleton at home, a sister, Mrs.
Emmett Finagan of Canandaigua, a brother, Leonard Appleton of
Holcomb, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Wheeler Funeral
Home in East Bloomfield, where a service will be held Saturday by the Rev.
Alton Davis of the East Bloomfield Methodist Church. Burial in East
Bloomfield Cemetery.

Funeral
services for Earl R. Appleton, 65, who died Wednesday evening, May 9,
1945, at his home on the Centerfield road, were held from the home Saturday PM,
the Rev. Walter Schaeffer Pastor of the East Bloomfield Congregational
Church, officiating.
Besides
his wife, Mrs. Agnes Steele Appleton, he leaves one daughter, Mrs. Fay
Burlingham, and two grandsons, Gene and Vern Burlingham, of Holcomb,
also two sisters and five brothers, Mrs. Emmett Finagan of Hopewell, Mrs.
George Cook of Rochester, Chester Appleton of Honeoye Falls, Harmon
of Clifton Springs, Leonard of Holcomb, Walter of South
Bloomfield, and Robert Appleton of Canandaigua.

Harmon Appleton of Manchester died today, September 1, 1957, after a long illness. He was the son of Robert and Freeda Beutler Appleton.
Surviving
are his son, Paul of Manchester, two brothers, Chester of Bristol,
and Leonard of East Bloomfield, two sisters, Mrs. Clara Finnegan of
Canandaigua, and Mrs. George Cook of Spencerport, six grandchildren and
nine great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Schaefer and Halsted Funeral Home, Manchester, tomorrow. Funeral will be held Wednesday with the Rev. Harold Hammer of the Baptist Church of Manchester officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. His body was interred 1957 Canandaigua, New York, Woodlawn Cemetery.

died September 07, 1960 Holcomb, New York,
at 78 years of age.
HOLCOMB - Leonard Appleton, 82, died in his home in
Main Street yesterday, September 7, 1960, after several weeks illness.
A
native of the town of East Bloomfield, he was the son of the late Robert and
Frieda Beutler Appleton, and always had resided in this community. For many
years he was a cook for the maintenance crews of the New York Central Railroad
and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Maintenance Men.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Anna Bostwick Appleton, two daughters, Mrs. Edward Rohde of Mantua, Ohio, and Mrs. Robert Hinds of Holcomb, a son William of Rochester, a sister, Mrs. Emmett Finagan of Canandaigua, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends
may call at the Wheeler Funeral Home in East Bloomfield where a service will be
conducted by the Rev. Alton Davis of the East Bloomfield Methodist
Church. Burial in East Bloomfield Cemetery.

said the wedding took place on the 21st of March. Wedding took place in the
Methodist Parsonage in E. Bloomfield, New York. It was attended by the groom's
parents. A supper followed at the home of the groom's grandfather, Jacob
Sanders. The couple left for Hornell where they will make their home as
Mr. Hinds is associated with Market Basket Stores there.

marriage of Miss Gladys W.Appleton of Geneva, daughter of Mr. And Mrs.
Leonard Appleton of Rochester, and Robert W. Hinds, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert R. Hinds of this village, E. Bloomfield, took place Thursday PM
at 7 o'clock in the Methodist Parsonage, the Rev. Edmunds officiating.
The couple were attended by the groom's parents, Mr. And
Mrs. Ray Hinds. Following a
wedding supper at the groom's grandfather, Jacob Sanders, Mr. And Mrs. Hinds
left for Hornell where they will make their home.
Mr. Hinds is associated with Market Basket Stores in that
city.

last, Rev. Wm. Armstrong conducting the services. We learn the place will
now be for sale or rent, as Mr. John Mason intends returning to his old
home in Honeoye in the Spring, leaving the house vacant.

Ontario County Journal, Friday, April 5, 1918 obituary stated, Mark Jopson, aged 81 years, passed away at his home on Tuesday morning. He leaves his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Earl Stanley, of Canandaigua, and Mrs. B. L. Black, of East Rochester, three sons, Raymond of Rochester, Herbert and George of Canandaigua, and one brother, Luke Jopson of Rochester. Interment was in Woodlawn.

CANANDAIGUA
- Mrs. Clara Finagan,
81, died Monday, April 3, 1967, in the Elm Manor Nursing Home. She was the widow
of Emmett Finagan of the Geneva Turnpike.
Born
January 8, 1886, in East Bloomfield, she was the daughter of Robert and
Fredericka Beutler Appleton. Mrs. Finagan was a lifelong resident of the
area.
Surviving
are two sons, Harry of Texas and Emmett of Canandaigua, a foster
son, Harry Stierer of Buffalo, six grandchildren, and two great
grandchildren. Burial will be in the
East Bloomfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Emmett
Finnegan and Miss Clara M. Appleton, daughter of Mrs. Robert Appleton,
were married by Rev. W. D. Robinson at the Congregational parsonage on
Wednesday evening. Miss Emma Finnegan, the groom's sister, and Leonard
Appleton, the bride's brother, attended them. Mr. and Mrs. Finnegan
will reside on the Gunn farm, which Mr. Finnegan has rented.

Spencerport, who died Friday, was held at the Walker Bros. Funeral Home,

A native of East Bloomfield, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Fredericka Beutler Appleton. Besides her husband George H. Cook, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Clara Finagan of Canandaigua RD, two brothers, Chester Appleton of Bristol, and Leonard Appleton of Holcomb. She married George Cook .

Robert
Appleton Sr., 67, East Bloomfield, died at Thompson Memorial Hospital this
morning, April 13, 1956, following a coronary attack which he suffered
yesterday.
He
was born in East Bloomfield, February 13, 1889, and had resided always in this
area. He was the son of Robert
and Fredricka Bueltler Appleton. For
many years he was a farmer and more recently was associated with the W. N. Clark
canning factory at Holcomb.
He
leaves his wife, Myrtle Woolston Appleton, two sons, Robert Jr.,
of Holcomb, Kenneth, Penn Yan, three brothers, Chester of
Bristol, Hiram, of Clifton Springs, and Leonard of Holcomb, two
sisters, Mrs. Emmett Finagan, of Canandaigua RD, and Mrs. George Cook,
of Rochester, and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the Kennedy Funeral chapel,
Sunday, with Rev. Glenn Brewster, pastor of the East Bloomfield Methodist
Church, officiating. Burial will be
made in East Bloomfield Cemetery.
