Louis W. Cronk, of this village, died this morning at about 5 o'clock. Mr. Cronk was 80 years of age, and had been a resident of this town since his birth. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon, in the Grove at the residence of the deceased. Rev. T. Whiffin of Oswego will conduct the services.

THE GRIM REAPER - LEWIS W. CRONK

Lewis W. Cronk was born May 24, 1819 in this town, and had lived here all his life, with the exception of 15 years. He was the youngest of three boys, there being eight children in the family, five girls and three boys. Only two of the family are now living.

Mr. Cronk was converted in the old M. E. Church in this village, February 1843 under the labors of Zina J. Buck, Pastor. He was married July 4, 1843 to Angeline Benson, daughter of Johnathan Benson.

He was licensed to exort in October 1843, his license being renewed from time to time until 1852 when he received a license to preach. In 1857 he was ordained Deacon in Canandaigua acting as a supply. He was a member of the M. E. church for 29 years, then joined the Free Methodists church in 1872 and Free Methodist Conference in 1873, on probation, and in full connection in 1876.

Mr. Cronk was then ordained Elder, his first appointment being Alton, Wayne Co., and after preaching there one year, was sent to Frankfort, one year, Edmonston, two years, and Bushnells Basin for two years. At the close of his work in Bushnells Basin, he located in Victor, moving upon the farm where he resided until his death. Mr. Cronk was very decided in his way, and opinions, and was a strong prohibistionist. He was always upright and honest in his dealings with his fellowmen.

He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, two sisters, Mrs. Delevan Cline of Jackson, Michigan, and Mrs. Mary Nelson, of Rochester, NY, and one adopted daughter, Mrs. P. M. Skuse, of this place, two grandchildren, Mrs. C. A. Saunders, Despatch, NY, and Mrs. Carrie Bowers of this place, and three great grandchildren, besides nephews and nieces.

The funeral will be held in the Maple Grove in front of the residence of the deceased, one half mile east of East Victor, and was largely attended. Interment in the Village Cemetery.

His body was interred 1899 Victor, New York, Victor Village Cemetery.

Esther L. BERRY was born 1836. Esther died September 09, 1903 Canandaigua, New York, at 67 years of age. She married Morey A. Power .

POWER - At her home on Prospect Street on Wednesday evening occurred the death of Mrs. Esther L Berry, wife of Morey E. Power, aged 67 years. Deceased had been in feeble health for several years.

Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J. M. Stokoe of this village, Mrs. L. D. Herendeen, Farmington, and Mrs. Herbert Wiley, Victor, and one son, L. W. Power of NY, three brothers, Joseph and William Berry of this village, John Berry of Bristol, one sister, Mrs. O. M. Hitchcock of this village.

Morey Power was born 1837. Morey was the son of Waterman Power and Phebe C. . Morey died October 01, 1915 Canandaigua, New York, at 78 years of age.

POWER - The death of Morey A. Power occurred at his home on Prospect Street on Friday morning after a long illness, aged 78 years. Deceased had been a resident of Canandaigua for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, one son Luke W. Power, of New York City, by three daughters, Mrs. L. D. Herendeen of Farmington, Mrs. Herbert Wiley and Mrs. John M. Stokoe of this city, and by two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Wisner and DeWitt Power of Canandaigua, Mrs. Gillam, of Oregon, and Sibley Power of Victor. Rev. Guy L. Morrill officiated at the funeral services on Monday. Interment at Woodlawn.

Morey A. Power died at his home at 224 Prospect Street, Canandaigua, Saturday morning after a long illness. He was 78 years of age. Mr. Power was for many years a resident of Farmington, and was well known in this locality. For several years past he had lived in Canandaigua.

Those who survive are his wife, a son Luke W. Power of New York, and three daughters, Mrs. L. D. Herendeen of Farmington, Mrs. John Stokoe of Canandaigua, Mrs. Hervert Wiley, Canandaigua, two brothers, Dewitt Power of Canandaigua, and Sibley Power of Victor, two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Wisner of Canandaigua, and Mrs. Gilliam of Oregon.

Funeral services were held at his late home at 2 Monday afternoon, the Rev. Guy L. Morrill, Pastor of the Presbyterian church in Canandaigua, officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Joseph BIDWELL and Anna Martin had the following child:

Mary Hazel² Bidwell was born Oswego, New York January 27, 1896. Mary died September 22, 1971 Wolcott, New York, at 75 years of age. She married Anthony Joseph Olsowsky, Fulton, New York, August 11, 1919.

WEDDING Olsowsky - Bidwell

The marriage of Miss Hazel Bidwell, of 63 Lyceum Street, to Anthony Olsowsky of North Exchange Street, took place this morning at 10 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fulton, Rev. Father Lindsman of that city performing the ceremony. The attendants were Miss Esther Ferris and Frank Connors, both of this city.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents in Fulton, after which the couple left for an auto trip through the Adirondacks, and on returning will make their home in this city, where the groom has a position.

Mary was baptized February 09, 1896. Religion: religion unknown. At 30 years of age Mary became the mother of Barbara Olsowsky on February 11, 1926.

WAYNE CRASH KILLS COUPLE

WOLCOTT - A 77 year old Cayuga County man and his wife were killed yesterday in a two car accident along Route 104, just south of Red Creek in the town of Wolcott. State Police identified the dead as Anthony J. Olsowsky, of 519 Cayuga St. Fulton, and his wife, Hazel Marie, 73. They were eastbound on the state highway at 5 35 PM, when their 1965 sedan collided with a second auto at the junction of Wayne County Routes 104A and 400.

In the second car was the driver, LeRoy Cook, 27, and passengers, Daniel Mortimer, 28, owner of the auto, and Murray Thomas, 29, all residents of the Fowler Labor Camp, Town of Huron.

Trooper. R. D. Cruz said the Cook auto was northbound on County Road 400 and failed to stop at a stop sign and a flashing red light. Route 104A continues north on the other side of the intersection. He said the Olsowsky vehicle evidently struck the Cook auto on the left side near the middle of the intersection. Both Mr. and Mrs. Olsowsky were ejected.

Dr. William J. Welch of Newark, acting coroner's physician, pronounced them dead at the scene at 6 55 PM. Cook, a broken rib and face cuts. He was admitted overnight to Myers Community Hospital, Sodus. Thomas and Mortimer were treated and released.

A charge of driving while intoxicated has been lodged against Cook, and a charge of negligent homicide is pending, said Jack Tanzi, a State Police investigator. After the impact, the two cars skidded through the intersection and ended right side up off the highway along Route 104A in the northeast corner of the junction. There were two witnesses to the accident, said Cruz.

Charles E.¹ Bills was born 1870. Charles died March 09, 1943 Canandaigua, New York, at 72 years of age.

OBITUARY - BILL

Funeral services for Charles E. Bill, 73, who died at the home of his son, Lester I. Bill, West Avenue, Tuesday, March 9, 1943, will be held from the home this Friday, the Rev. Paul V. Arow officiating. Interment will be made in Wayland.

Survivors are one daughter, and two sons, Mrs. Richard Paxson of Buffalo, and Floyd and Lester Bill of Canandaigua, two sisters, Mrs. Hattie B. Skinner of Wayland, and Mrs. Clarence Branch of Rochester, also eight grandchildren and one grand grandchild.

Lester L.² Bills was born October 16, 1894. Lester died April 1964 at 69 years of age.

He married Ethel Washburn Victor, New York, March 06, 1917.

MARRIAGE BILLS - WASHBURN

A very pretty wedding took place Tuesday evening, in the country home of Mr. and Mrs. William Washburn, five miles south west of Victor, when their daughter, Miss Ethel Washburn, was united in marriage to Lester Bills, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Bills of Wayland, N. Y. The Rev. E. J. Shank, pastor of the Mendon Baptist church performed the ceremony, using the ring service.

The bride's gown was of white satin combined with Irish point lace and she wore a corsage bouquet of delicate pink sweet peas. Her attendant was Miss Mabel Bills of Wayland, a sister of the groom, who was prettily gowned in light blue crepe de chine and wore a corsage bouquet of pink roses.

The best man was Earl Washburn, a brother of the bride. Promptly at five, the bride and groom, with their attendants, descended the stairway while the wedding march was beautifully rendered by Mrs. Oland Griffin of Rochester. The bridal party took its place in the parlor, beneath a large white bell suspended from the ceiling. One hundred guests witnessed the ceremony.

After the ceremony a sumptuous wedding supper was served by Mrs. Wallace, a Honeoye Falls caterer. Covers were laid fore sixteen at the bride's table. Daffodils were used in the table decoration. The house decorations were robins egg blue and white.

The following young men, cousins of the bride, served the refreshments, Floyd Bills, Roy Turner, LeRoy Bennett, Gordon Barnum, Leonard Barry, and Ira Washburn. The bride's going away suit was of burgundy with trimmings of mole skin and she wore a Spring hat to match.

The bride received many beautiful gifts, which included cut glass, linen, silver, china, furniture and money. There were several prenuptial events. Out of town guests were from Honeoye Falls, Wayland, Rochester, and Canandaigua. Twenty were present from Victor. Mr. and Mrs. Bills left for a short western trip, Wednesday morning, and on their return will reside in Rochester.

Henrietta Bills was born 1920. Henrietta died January 10, 2001 Canandaigua, New York, at 80 years of age. Her body was interred 2001 Geneva, New York, Glenwood Cemetery. She married Bernard Shenkman 1941.

Bernard Shenkman - Bernard was born Rochester, New York September 06, 1915. Bernard is the son of Louis Nathan Shenkman and Sarah . At 27 years of age Bernard became the father of Shelley Shenkman , Seattle, Washington, February 12, 1943.

Lester BILLS married Agatha Freer . Agatha was born April 13, 1899. Agatha was the daughter of Frank George Freer and Maude Phillips . Agatha died June 16, 1976 in West Walworth, New York, at 77 years of age.

Howard Freer² Bills was born July 18, 1922. He married Elsie Riley. Elsie was born January 22, 1918. Elsie was the daughter of Eugene Walter Riley and Florence Peach . Elsie died July 05, 1989 in Fort Myers, Florida, at 71 years of age.

Nettie Blanchard was born in Victory, Cayuga Co., New York August 10, 1854. Nettie died January 15, 1913 Canandaigua, New York, at 58 years of age.

DEATH - MRS. NETTIE MOREY

On Wednesday evening at 7 PM occurred the death of Mrs. Nettie Morey, wife of Oren E. Morey, of Bristol Street, following an illness of long duration.

Mrs. Morey was born on August 10, 1854 at Victory, Cayuga County, this state, and was consequently 58 years and five months of age. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Blanchard. On January 5, 1874 she married Owen E. Morey at Hannibal Center, Oswego County.

She is survived by her husband, one son, Clair L. Morey, and three grandchildren, all of this village. Two brothers, Day Blanchard of Michigan and Benjamin Blanchard of Mariville, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Chase of East Rochester, also survive. Her body was interred 1913 Canandaigua, New York, Woodlawn Cemetery.
