Shortsville, February 8, 1926, Daniel J. Damond, aged 52 years. He

Daniel
J. Damond died at his home about one half mile northeast of this village on
the Shortsville Clifton Springs Road on Monday morning, aged 52 years. He was
born in Fitchburg, Mass. The only survivor was his wife, Mrs. Mary Damond.
The
funeral was held from his late home on Wednesday. Rev. Swarthout of the
Manchester Baptist church conducted the service. Remains were placed in the
vault at Brookside Cemetery. His
body was
interred 1926 Manchester, New York, Pioneer Cemetery.
Mary
was born November 10, 1867. Mary
was the daughter of William Wheatley
and Sarah
Emily Maybee.
Mary
died April 11,
1937 at 69 years of age.

the same place and time, Mr. Byron C. Davis and Miss Ella E. Woodard, all
of South Bristol. His sister, Mary C. Davis also married this day,
Congregational Church of Bristol.
Mary Carolyn Davis was born South Bristol, New York December 04, 1852. 1900 Canandaigua Census shows her birth month as February. Mary died February 08, 1916 Los Angeles, California, at 63 years of age.

Mrs. George W. Ingraham, of Coachella, Cal., writes that she wishes to thank through the Journal, the many relatives and friends in this section, who remembered her on her 59th birthday with a shower of postcards.

INGRAHAM
- The death of Mrs. George W. Ingraham
occurred at Los Angeles, Cal., on Tuesday, following a long illness.
Deceased was born at South Bristol, the daughter of Charles G. and Sarah
Putney Davis, on December 4, 1852, one of 11 children who grew to manhood
and womanhood.
Besides
her husband, she leaves four sons, Demerrill C., of Bristol, Chauncey
W. of Honeoye, Herbert G. and Frank C. of Los Angeles. Brothers and
sisters are, Warren G. William L. and Elmer E. Davis, and Mrs. W. D. Green,
of Canandaigua, Byron A. of Hemlock, Mrs. Harriet Seward, of
Canadice, Frank M. Davis of Honeoye, Mrs. Frank J. Fairburn of Los
Angeles, Cal. A brother Otto A. Davis passed away at Los Angeles on
December 28. Interment was at Los Angeles.
At 29 years of age Mary became the mother of Chauncey W. Ingraham Bristol, NY, 1882.

Elnathan
Gooding Briggs died at his home in Lima, Saturday morning. He was born in
Bristol, November 12, 1843, and was the son of William W. and Nancy Briggs. On
October 23rd, 1870 he married Miss Sarah Davis.
He
leaves two sons, Arthur of Syracuse, and Floyd of Lima, two
daughters, Misses Emma and Bessie Briggs, of Lima, four grandchildren,
and a sister, Mrs. Ruth B. Hitchcock of E. Bloomfield. Funeral was held
at the family home, Monday afternoon. Interment in Baptist Hill Cemetery.

Canandaigua.Canandaigua City clerk office record number 86 on Page 45 states she
was married to John Spencer Andrews, 28 Dungan Street. The informant was Mildred
Andrews.

June 11, Mrs. Amanda Davis Andrews, 77, wife of John S. Andrews,
died today. Besides her husband, she leaves three sons and one daughter. Albert
A. Andrews of Potsdam, Melvin Andrews of Rochester, Arthur A.
Andrews and Miss Mildred Andrews of Canandaigua. Funeral from the home
Thursday. Her

WOOD
-
The death of Mrs. Jane Ann Wood, wife of George W. Wood,
occurred at the home on Chapin Street on Wednesday morning. Deceased was the
daughter of Homer and Lucinda Daw, and was born at Daw's Corners on July
20, 1838.
Jane
Ane Daw was married to George W. Wood at Batavia on December 26,
1856. Most of their married life was spent in Canandaigua.
All admired and respected her for her many good traits of character, and
for her tender regard for all those by whom she was surrounded.
She was a member of St. John's Church, the Woman's Auxiliary of the Young Men's Christian Temperance Union.
There survive three sons, Clay M. Wood, of Rochester, Dr.
George D. Wood and Harry Wood, of Canandaigua, and one daughter, Mrs.
Joseph Maxwell, of New York City, also five grand daughters, and one
grandson. Rev. Herbert Gaylord will officiate at the funeral services to
be held at the home this afternoon. Interment will be at Ionia.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
- Mr. and Mrs. George W.
Wood, Chapin Street, celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Wednesday.
George W. Wood and Jane Ann Daw were married on December 26, 1856,
at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Daw, at Daw's
Corners, Genesee County.
Forty six years ago they came to Canandaigua, where they have since resided, with the exception of 15 years spent in Buffalo. During this time Mr. Wood was in the employ of the New York Central and Penn. Railroads, he having retired 22 years ago. There was no formal celebration owing to the illness of Mrs. Wood.

November 07, 1890 Mendon, Monroe Co., New York, at 79 years of age.
Honeoye
Times November 13, 1890 newspaper stated he was an aged and respected resident
of this town, died at his home near Miller's Corners, Friday last, aged 70
years. Mr. Shulter's father was one of the early settlers of this town.
The funeral was held Monday from his late residence, the pastor of the Mendon
Baptist church officiating.
One
week prior to his death there was another notice in the same paper stating that Mr.
David Shulters is seriously ill, and there are grave doubts as to his
recovery, as he is quite advanced in years. Leonard Shulters, of Batavia,
is visiting his sick father, David Shulters.

York, at 82 years of age.

DAWSON
-
The death of Mrs. Mary Dawson, widow of Patrick Dawson,
occurred at her home on West Gibson Street on Monday evening, aged 83 years.
There
survive four daughters, Mrs. Hugh McGarry, of Phelps, Mrs. William
Nutt, of Chili Station, Misses Ella and Johanna Dawson, of
Canandaigua, four sons, Frank and Thomas Dawson of Rochester, Daniel Dawson,
of Shortsville, and James Dawson, of Canandaigua, and one sister, Mrs.
John Day, of New York City.
The funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church yesterday morning. Interment was at Calvary cemetery.
