Miss
Ruth Mary Benham, daughter of Mrs.
W. Case Benham, North Main St., and the late Mr. Benham, and James T.
Finnick, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Finnick, South Main St., were
married in St. Mary's church, Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. M. C. Wall performing
the ceremony.
The
bride was given in marriage by her brother, Walter C. Benham, and was
attended by her sister, Mrs. C. L. Spearen, as matron of honor.
Francis J. Finnick was best man for his brother, and Charles L.
Spearen and Frank McWilliams, a brother in law of the bridegroom, were
ushers.
A reception to about 75 guests was held in the home of the bride's mother. Mrs. John E. Graham presided at the serving table assisted by Mrs. Edmund I. Harroun.
After a wedding trip to New York City and the New England states, Mr. and Mrs. Finnick will live temporarily with the bride's mother. The bridegroom was recently discharged from the Army after three years service, including two and a half years in the European Theater. He is a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, 1940. His bride was a member of the 1941 class.

Cornelius
Breen of the firm of Ahrens and Breen, and Miss Gertrude Fitzgerald, of
Buffalo, were married in St. Joseph's Cathedral at Buffalo, on Tuesday morning,
at 11 30. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents after the
ceremony. Mr., and Mrs. Breen are taking a western trip and upon
their return will reside in this village.
Cornelius M. Breen was
born Hopewell, New York March 01, 1870.
Cornelius was the son of Jeremiah Breen
and Mary
Costello.
He
married
Mary Jane Hamilton
1894.
Cornelius died
November 22, 1937 Canandaigua, New York, at 67 years of age.

OBITUARY BREEN
Funeral
services will be held Friday morning from St. Mary's Church in this city for Cornelius
Breen, 67, well known businessman and funeral director, who died at his home
on Washington Street, Monday night following a long period of failing health.
Interment at Calvary.
Born
in Hopewell March 1, 1870, Mr. Breen had been a resident of this county
during his entire lifetime. He served in his earlier years as an attendant at
Brigham Hall and Willard State Hospital, and later completed a course in
Renouard school of embalming in New York. Following this he entered into
partnership with Charles F. Ahrens in this city where he was connected at
the time of his death.
He
was an active member of St. Mary's Church in this city and of it's auxiliary
organizations. He was also active in K of C circles having served for three
terms as Grand Knight of Canandaigua Council. He also served as president of the
K of C building association, and
was a director of NYS Funeral Directors.
He
leaves his wife, three sons, and two daughters, Jeremiah, of Washington,
Leo H., Edward M., Mrs. James P. Coyne, and Miss Dorothy Breen, all of
Canandaigua, also two sisters and two brothers.
At 32 years of age Cornelius became the father of Edward M. Breen Hopewell, New York, December 03, 1902.

OBITUARY - FLOOD
- James T. Flood, well known former businessman of
this vicinity, died at his home 26 Broad St., Clifton Springs, on Saturday night
at the age of 60 years, after a long illness.
Formerly a resident of Canandaigua he was the traveling representative of
the Dold Packing Company for many years, and had a wide circle of
acquaintances. He had conducted markets at Shortsville and Clifton Springs.
He
is survived by his widow, one brother, John M. Flood of Canandaigua, and
5 nephews and nieces. Funeral held Tuesday at his home and at St. Felix church
with Rev. James O'Brien officiating. Burial at St. Agnes Cemetery. His
body was
interred 1938 Clifton Springs, New York, St. Agnes Cemetery.

A Double Wedding
At
St. Mary's church on Tuesday morning, Rev. James T. Dougherty, the
pastor, united in marriage John M. Flood and Miss Clara M. Engert, and James
T. Flood and Miss Mary O'Brien. The wedding was a complete surprise to the
friends of the young people. Mr. and Mrs. James T. Flood will reside in
Syracuse.
Clara was born Canandaigua, New York May 30, 1882. Clara was the daughter of John George Engert and Louise Leiston. Clara died 1944 at 62 years of age. Her body was interred 1944 Canandaigua, New York, Woodlawn Cemetery.

OBITUARY F
The death of Michael Flynn occurred at the Imperial Hotel on Wednesday evening. Deceased was born in Ireland, September 1, 1842, and had resided in Canandaigua for 54 years.
He leaves one son, Thomas Flynn, of Canandaigua, two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Winifred Wallace of Jamaica, Mrs. Margaret Bruan of Lorraine, Ohio, and James Flynn of Ireland. The funeral will be held at St. Mary's Church tomorrow morning. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Thomas
Francis Flynn, proprietor of the Imperial Hotel, and Miss Katerine
Elizabeth Touhey, were married at St. Mary's Church on Monday morning by Rev.
James T. Dougherty. Following
the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Jeremiah Touhey, on Saltonstall St.
Later
Mr. and Mrs. Flynn departed for a wedding Journey to New York City and
the East. Among the bride's
presents was a check for 1000 dollars from her father.

Mrs.
Katherine T. Flynn, wife of Thomas F. Flynn, died at her home in the
Imperial Hotel, Sunday afternoon, after a long illness.
Besides her husband she leaves two sons and a daughter, Walter,
George, and Mary Flynn, her mother, Mrs. Mary Touhey and Miss
Minnie L. Touhey, all Canandaigua. Funeral
services at St. Mary's Church, with burial at Calvary Cemetery.

died November 28, in Sarasota, Florida.
She is survived

Arthur Barbara Emeneau of Winchester, Mass., and Mrs. Hanon Katherine
Russell of Milford, Conn., 5 grandchildren.
