 MINK  - MOORE

Phillip H.1 Mink was born in Columbia County, NY 1825.  Phillip died June 14, 1888 Farmington, New York, at 62 years of age.

                                Phillip H. Mink, in Farmington, June 14, 1888, aged 64.  

                   He married Lucy Blass.  Lucy was born in Columbia County, New York 1826.  Lucy died February 27, 1903 Shortsville, New York, at 76 years of age.

                          Mrs. Phillip Mink, at Shortsville, February 18, 1903, aged 77 years.

Phillip H. Mink and Lucy Blass had the following children:

Edwin R. Mink  was born in Columbia County, New York 1844.

The case of Edwin R. Mink as Executor of Lucy Mink, against Fred L. Mink, has been heard by Justice George A. Nicholson, and a jury in town house at several sessions, and is still unconcluded. The Executor asks that the defendant account for certain moneys alleged to have been loaned him.

                  

Catherine A. Mink  was born in Hudson, Columbia, New York June 27, 1854.  Catherine died March 11, 1935 Victor, New York, at 80 years of age.

                                        OBITUARY     LOVEJOY

Mrs. Catherine Lovejoy passed from this life, March 11, 1935, at the home of her son, Harley M. Lovejoy. Mrs. Lovejoy was born in Hudson, June 27, 1854, of pioneer stock that helped to settle the region of the Catskills. She came to Western New York as an infant, when her parents, Phillip and Lucy Blass Mink made the trip on the Erie Canal from their home in Hudson to a new home in Farmington township. 

 Mrs. Lovejoy was twice married. Her first husband, Hinman E. Smith, passed away in 1887 at their home in Rochester, leaving his widow and two small children, a son, Oscar F. Smith, who died in 1909, and a daughter, Mrs. George H. Gunnison, now of Canandaigua.

In 1892, Mrs. Smith married Edward E. Lovejoy of Victor, who died in 1908. Two sons were born to them, Charley E. Lovejoy and Harley M. Lovejoy, both of Victor, survive. Mrs. Lovejoy also leaves nine grandchildren, Mrs. T. H. Townsend of Waterville, Mrs. William Millard of Canandaigua, and George S. Gunnison of Syracuse, Edward, Adeline, Jean, Janette, Harley M. and Lowell Lovejoy of Victor. 

For 57 years Mrs. Lovejoy had been a member of the Methodist church, and for many years she took part in all its activities. She was a charter member of the Unity Club, and gave support to every worthy cause brought to her attention until failing health several years ago forced her to retire from interests outside her home. Funeral from the home of her son, Harley M. Lovejoy.

THE DEATH RECORD  -   LOVEJOY -     At Victor, March 11, 1935, Mrs. Catherine Lovejoy, aged 80 years. Her body was interred 1935 Victor, New York, Victor Village Cemetery

                          Edward Ebenezer Lovejoy   Edward was born May 1831.  Edward was the son of Martin Lovejoy and Hannah Gillett.  He married Charlotte A. Gurnee March 12, 1856.  Edward died May 21, 1908 Victor, New York, at 77 years of age.

 DIED -   LOVEJOY  -   At Victor, May 21, 1908, Edward E. Lovejoy, aged 77 years.  His body was interred 1908 Victor, New York, Village Cemetery. 

James Livingston2 Monier  was born in Columbia County, New York December 26, 1800.  James died April 03, 1869 Naples, New York, at 68 years of age.   

                    He married Margaret Andrews December 06, 1842.  Page 281 in the book Steuben County Newspapers Marriages, shows both to be of Naples, NY.  Margaret was born January 11, 1820.  Margaret was the daughter of Smedley Andrews and Sarah Drake.  She married B. F. Rev. Millard Naples, New York, October 12, 1881.  Margaret died February 05, 1903 Naples, New York, at 83 years of age.

Millard -   Mrs. B. F. Millard died at her home in Naples yesterday afternoon as the result of a paralytic stroke suffered on Saturday evening. She was 83 years of age.  Her daughters, Mrs. H. C. Fiske, of Buffalo, Mrs. Margaret Young, of Long Island, and Mrs. Adelaide Monier, of this town, were with her.  She had suffered many years with rheumatism.

 Besides the daughters mentioned, deceased is survived by her husband, Rev. B. F. Millard, and one son, James Monier, of Naples.

NAPLES -    Mrs. Margaret Millard, whose funeral was held from her late home on Saturday, was a woman of great prominence in this vicinity. Her ability, courtesy and benevolence were evidences of her fine character. 

She was left by her first husband, the late James L. Monier, in charge of large possessions, and developed remarkable ability as a business woman.  But these cares did not close her heart to the needs of others, or the demands of the many benevolent and religious societies and schemes of which she was among the foremost helpers in Naples.

She had been for sixty years a great worker in the Presbyterian church, and for 18 years was the wife and able counselor of its honored pastor. Her birth place was Canandaigua. She was married at the age of 20, and for 63 years had presided over the home which she died.

 

Frances Monier  was born 1845.  Frances died July 2, 1883 Buffalo, New York, at 38 years of age.

MONIER -   In Buffalo, at the home of here sister, Mrs. Fiske, on Monday, July 2, 1883, Miss Frances Monier, of Naples, aged 38 years. 

 

James L. Jr.3 Monier  was born 1847.  James died July 13, 1908 Naples, New York, at 61 years of age.  He married Caroline Conaughty   Caroline was born in Naples 1856.  Caroline died May 23, 1940 Naples, New York, at 83 years of age.

                                                  NAPLES      -      MONIER

The death of Mrs. Carrie C. Monier, 84, of Naples, occurred Thursday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William McGrew, following a heart attack. She is survived by a son, Millard Monier, of Bath.  Funeral services were held Saturday morning the Rev. E. I. Braden, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was made in Rose Ridge Cemetery, Naples.  

                James became the father of Joseph C. Monier 1879.  James became the father of Millard H. Monier 1890.

NAPLES -   There is now a scheme on foot to construct a narrow guage road to Bloods. Mr. James L. Monier has interested himself in the matter and the prospect is favorable. The apparent failure to fulfill the promises of the past as to the road Northward, will turn the tide toward the new project.

 

Sarah2 Moon  was born Leeds, England March 04, 1819.  Sarah died May 17, 1899 North Bloomfield, New York, at 80 years of age.  Lima death record line 360 shows she was from Leeds England and a 55 year resident in USA. She was aged 80 yrs  2 mos and 12 das.

 IDESON  -    At North Bloomfield, May 17, 1899, Mrs. John Ideson, aged 80 years.

The funeral services of Mrs. John Ideson were held from her late residence on Saturday afternoon. She leaves, besides a husband, three daughters, Mrs. John Jerome of Delaware, Mrs. Arthur Hunt, of Honeoye Falls, and Mrs. Charles Chambers, of this place. She was 80 years of age. Her body was interred 1899 North Bloomfield, New York, N. Bloomfield Cemetery.

 Zylphia Marinda2 Moore was born Watertown, New York June 05, 1843.  Zylphia died February 06, 1883 Bristol, New York, at 39 years of age.

                                     DIED -     TOTMAN  

 In Bristol, February 6, 1883, Zylpha M., wife of Levi W. Totman, aged 39 years and 4 months. She married Levi W. Totman Watertown, New York, March 20, 1868. 

                 Levi was born Bristol, NY April 07, 1842.  Levi was the son of Ward Totman and Irena Lester Joyner .  He married Mary Louise Love Bristol Center, New York, January 23, 1907.

MARRIED    TOTMAN - LOVE   In Bristol Center, January 23, 1907, Levi W. Totman of Bristol Center, and Miss Mary Louise Love, of Rochester.

  He married 2nd  Julia A. Woodworth.  Levi died February 17, 1920 Bristol, New York, at 77 years of age.

TOTMAN -  The funeral services of Levi W. Totman, who died on Tuesday will be held from his late home at Bristol Center, this morning at 11:30, Rev. W. E. Searles of Canandaigua officiating. He had been in poor health for some time and died of general debility after an attack of the grip. He was a son of Ward and Irene Joyner Totman, was born in Bristol April 7, 1842. 

He was educated at East Bloomfield Academy. In 1862 he enlisted in Co. K. first NY Mounted Rifles, and served until June 1865. He belonged to the G. A. R. and was an active and enthusiastic member.

He married three times, his first wife being Zilphia M. Moore of East Watertown, Jefferson County, by whom he had the following children, Inez M. deceased, Morris H. deceased, Mrs. Benjamin Case of Bristol Center, Florence L. of NY City, Mrs. Grace Corser of West Lake Road, Canandaigua, and Joel W. Totman of Canandaigua. She died in February 1883.

Later he married Julia Woodworth of East Watertown, Jefferson Co., by whom he had two children, Ruth and Oscar, who died in infancy. She died in November 1904.

 In 1906  he married Mary Love of Rochester, who survives him. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. P.P. Bliss of Bristol, and Mrs. Sophia Luther of California, also 6 grandchildren. He was a farmer and lived on the Ward Totman farm North of Bristol Center until the last two years when he moved into the Methodist Parsonage at Bristol Center.

Hannah2 Moore.     Hannah died May 16, 1887.  She married Ward Totman.  This was Ward's first marriage

  Ward was born Luzerne, Warren Co. NY August 12, 1803.  Ward was the son of Thomas Totman and Rachel Rice.  He married 2nd  Irena Lester Joyner in Lorrain, Jefferson Co., NY, March 20, 1831.  Ward died March 23, 1892 Bristol, New York, at 88 years of age.

BRISTOL CENTER -   The funeral of Ward Totman was held on Saturday at the M. E. Church, Rev. Mr. Kerr officiating. He was nearly 89 years old, having spent about fifty years in this town.

He leaves three daughters and one son to mourn his loss, Mrs. Reed of Illinois, Mrs. Luther of Luther, Michigan, Mrs. Bliss and Levi Totman of this town.

Sabina R.2 Moore was born Elmira, New York 1865.  Sabina died June 27, 1954 Rochester, New York, at 88 years of age.

LONG -    Sunday June 27, 1954, at St. Mary's Hospital, Sabina R. Long of 791 Washington Avenue, aged 89 years, widow of Jeremiah M. Long.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leo V. Lyons, and Mrs. W. Howard Hall, four sons, Joseph P.,  Leo M., Jeremiah E., and Maurice M. Long, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Boyce Funeral Home 853 Culver Road, from St. Thomas Church.  Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Her body was interred July 01, 1954 Rochester, New York, Holy Seplechure Cemetery.  Lot 63   Sect  South  3 

  Mary Moore was born 1831.  Mary died January 13, 1917 New York, New York, at 85 years of age.

Mrs. John Moran, a former resident of Canandaigua, died at her home in New York on Saturday evening, January 13th. She leaves a son, Harry A. Moran of Indianapolis, and a daughter, Mrs. Kennedy of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Moore of Rochester, and Mrs. Catherine Rooney of Canandaigua.

The remains are to be brought to Canandaigua and interment made in Calvary Cemetery. Her body was interred 1917 Canandaigua, New York, Calvary Cemetery. 

            She married John Moran .  John was born Ireland 1829.  John was the son of Thomas Moran and Ann .  John died June 12, 1902 Canandaigua, New York, at 72 years of age.[i]  [i]. Canandaigua City clerk office record number 1594.His age was given as 73 years.

John Moran died at his residence on Brook Street on June 12, 1902 aged 64 years. The deceased came to this village from Ireland when a lad. He was employed by the late John Greig as a coachman for many years, and later conducted a hacking business.

 The Canandaigua of his early years and the prominent men who lived then were subjects upon which he loved to talk, remembering many incidents that were of special interest to the present generation. He enjoyed a wide acquaintance and his familiar figure will be missed from the streets. He had been gradually failing for several years.

 He is survived by one son, Henry Moran, of Indianapolis, and one daughter, Mrs. Henry Kennedy of this village. Funeral from St. Mary's Church on Saturday AM, Rev Dougherty officiating.
