OWEN - PERKINS

Otto A.¹ Owen was born February 10, 1911. Otto died January 06, 1998 in Phoenix, Arizona, at 86 years of age. He married Elizabeth Louise Camp November 24, 1935.

OWEN - CAMP

Miss Elizabeth Louise Camp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Camp of Hopewell, and Otto Owen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Owen of Branchport, were united in marriage at the Methodist Episcopal church in this city, Thursday at noon. Rev. S. G. Houghton performed the ceremony in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends. Mrs. William Turner played the wedding music.

The bride wore a gown of midnight blue chiffon velvet with white lace hat and carried white chrysanthemums. She was attended by Miss Una Pooley of Lakeport, who was gowned in maroon chiffon velvet with a yellow lace hat and carried yellow chrysanthemums. Raymond Camp, brother of the bride, was best man.

After a short trip, Mr. and Mrs. Owen will live on the groom's farm in the town of Gorham. The bride's going away costume was of dark blue. Mrs. Owen is a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, class of 1930, and Mr. Owen is a graduate of Branchport High School.

May² Palmer was born in Flint, Michigan 1882. In the 1920 Canandaigua Census her father is listed as being from New York, and her mother from Michigan. She married twice. She married George A. Supplee Canandaigua, NY, December 31, 1901.^[i] [i]. Canandaigua City Clerk office record number 1176.

SUPPLEE and PALMER

On Tuesday evening at 8 PM took place the marriage of George A Supplee and Miss May Palmer, both of this village. The ceremony was performed by Rev. William N. Thomas, of the Baptist church, and the couple were attended by the brother and sister of the groom

George was born New York January 03, 1879. George was the son of Leonard Fletcher Supplee and Elizabeth Bates. George died April 24, 1917 Canandaigua, New York, at 38 years of age.

SUPPLEE - The death of George A. Supplee occurred at his home on Parrish Street on Tuesday the 24th following a long illness aged 38 years. He leaves his wife, Mrs. May Palmer Supplee and three daughters, Leah, Miriam and Ruth Supplee, his father, Leonard Supplee, one sister Mrs. Roy McMillan, all of Canandaigua, one brother Fred of Rochester. Woodlawn Cemetery.

At 32 years of age George became the father of Ruth G. Supplee Canandaigua, New York, January 20, 1911.

Albert Bradley² Parmele was born Victor, New York 1869. He married Florence A. Power. Florence was born Farmington, New York March 13, 1874. Florence was the daughter of M. H. Sibley Power and Alida M. Shaw. Florence died June 27, 1943 Canandaigua, New York, at 69 years of age.

OBITUARY - PARMELE

Mrs. Florence A. Parmele,69, of West Gibson Street, widow of Albert B. Parmele, died, Sunday evening, June 27, 1943, in F F Thompson Hospital, where she underwent an operation Friday.

Born in Farmington, March 13, 1874, she was the daughter of Sibley and Alida Shaw Power. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and had been active in it's women's organizations.

Survivors are one niece, Mrs. Gladys Rowley Gunn of Washington, DC, a sister in law, Miss Mary E. Parmele of this city, and several cousins. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the home, the Rev. Hardy Lumb, pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Abram Bray³ Peck was born Hopewell, New York April 02, 1851.^[ii] Abram died March 21, 1917 Canandaigua, New York, at 65 years of age. [ii]. 1860 South Bristol Census shows Abraham B Peck age 9 years.

Abraham B. Peck died at his home on West Gibson Street after a short illness following an attack of apoplexy. He leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs. William J. Hawley, and Miss Laura Peck, of Canandaigua. Rev. Livingston L. Taylor will officiate at the funeral services tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be in West Avenue Cemetery.

Aged 65 years he died at his home on W. Gibson Street on Wednesday night after a short illness following an attack of apoplexy. He leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs. William Hawley and Miss Laura Peck of this city. Interment at West Avenue Cemetery.

He married Melvina A. Ingraham 1875. Melvina was born December 06, 1852. Melvina was the daughter of Chauncy Fathergill Ingraham and Polina Elizabeth Clark. Melvina died September 18, 1929 Bristol, New York, at 76 years of age.^[iii] [iii]. City of Canandaigua Death Record is 1452.

GRIM REAPER - PECK

Mrs. Melvina A. Peck, aged 76 years, widow of Abram B. Peck, died at her home in Bristol Wednesday evening after a long illness. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. William J. Hawley, and Miss Laura Peck of this city, a sister, and a brother, Mrs. Mary Hemingway of Bristol, and George Ingraham of L.A., Cal., also a grandson, William J Hawley Jr. of this city. Funeral services held from home Saturday PM, Rev. Charles A. Paille of Bristol Valley Congregational Church officiated. Interred in West Avenue Cemetery.

Leona Mabel Peck was born July 1883. Her body was interred Canandaigua, New York, Woodlawn Cemetery. She married William John Hawley South Westerlo, New York, June 22, 1904.

MARRIED - At South Westerlo which is near Albany New York, June 22, 1904, William John Hawley and Miss Leona Mabel Peck, both of Canandaigua. United in marriage by Rev. Ira Peck, uncle of the bride.

William was born Canandaigua, New York June 08, 1883. Canandaigua City Clerk office record number 0124. William was the son of Lincoln Henry Hawley and Arttie M. Henry.

William died September 03, 1947 Canandaigua, New York, at 64 years of age. Died in Thompson Hospital after a brief illness. He had been living on East Lake Road. He had been educated in public schools, and conducted one of the first bicycle shops in Canandaigua, held the first phonograph agency and was in the automobile business at the turn of the century. In later years he was in the real estate business.

WILLIAM J. HAWLEY Dies in Hospital After Brief Illness

William J. Hawley, 64, East Lake Road, died in Thompson Hospital Wednesday morning after a brief illness. Born in Canandaigua, June 7, 1883, he was the son of Lincoln H. and Artie Henry Hawley. He was educated in the public schools. Mr. Hawley conducted one of the first bicycle shops here, held the first phonograph agency, and was first in the automobile business at the turn of the century. Of late years he had engaged in the real estate business and was a member of the NYS Real Estate Assoc.

Survivors are his wife Mrs. Leona Peck Hawley, a son William H., and one grandson William H. Jr., of Canandaigua. Funeral services will be held this PM at 2 from Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, Methodist church Rev. Stephen Pratt officiating.

At 23 years of age William became the father of Agnes Cecil Hawley Canandaigua, New York, November 10, 1906.

At 24 years of age William became the father of William H. Hawley Canandaigua, New York, March 16, 1908.^[iv] [iv]. This birth information was taken from his marriage license record number 20.The Canandaigua City clerk office birth record number is 6227.

Mr. Perkins and Mrs. Perkins had the following children:

Theodore² Perkins. Theodore died November 03, 1898 Canandaigua, New York. He married Frances Emily Smith. Frances was born New York November 02, 1837. Frances was the daughter of Stephen E. Smith. Frances died February 12, 1930 Canandaigua, New York, at 92 years of age.

OBITUARY PERKINS

The death of Mrs. Frances E. Perkins, aged 92 years, widow of Theodore Perkins, occurred on Wednesday evening at the Health Home where she had been confined for four years.

She leaves three nieces and three nephews, Mrs. Harry Blyth, of Cortland, Mrs. Jennie Dayton, of Summit N. J., Mrs. Sarah Kingsbury, of Canandaigua, Harold Smith of Bayside, LI, Clarence Smith of New Caanan, Conn., Leland Smith of Providence RI. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Congregational chapel. Burial in Woodlawn.

Susan Catherine Perkins was born Clyde, New York March 11, 1832. Susan died May 05, 1899 Jersey City, New Jersey, at 67 years of age.

Mrs. Susan C. Tillotson, wife of Samuel D. Tillotson, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Addison Kingsbury, Jersey City, on Friday morning, aged 67 years. Death came after an illness of but eight hours, and was caused by apoplexy. On Thursday Mrs. Tillotson had visited a friend, and returning home late in the afternoon, seemed to be in her usual health, but was stricken about 7 o'clock in the evening and lingered until 3 o'clock the next morning.

The deceased was born in Clyde. At the age of 5 years, she moved with her parents to this village, where she resided until 25 years ago, her home since then being in Jersey City. For the past year Mr. and Mrs. Tillotson have spent most of their time in this village with Mrs. Theodore Perkins, Mrs. Tillotson being a sister of the late Theodore Perkins. They had been in Jersey City about four weeks, having gone there to break up their old home, with a view of making this village their permanent residence.

Mrs. Tillotson is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Addison Kingsbury. Her body was interred 1899 Canandaigua, New York, Woodlawn Cemetery.

Samuel was born New York October 17, 1827. Samuel was the son of Morehouse Tillotson and Sarah Davis. Samuel died June 04, 1902 at 74 years of age.

OBITUARY TILLOTSON

The death of Samuel D. Tillotson occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Addison Kingsbury, at Jersey City, on Wednesday. Mr. Tillotson had been gradually failing during the spring, but was confined to his bed only two weeks.

The deceased was 74 years of age. He was born in this town and resided here until 25 years ago, when he went to Jersey City and entered the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad company. This position he held until he was retired on a pension a few years ago. His wife died three years ago.

He leaves besides his daughter, Mrs. Kingsbury, two brothers, Johnson Tillotson, of Cheshire, and Oscar Tillotson, of Clifton Springs, and two sisters, Mrs. Sawyer and Miss Mary Tillotson, who reside on the old homestead here. The remains will be brought to Canandaigua, and the funeral will be held from the home of Mrs. Theodore Perkins tomorrow afternoon. The remains will be interred at West Avenue Cemetery.
