**Note on the 16th Rifles Regt. - There were 33 enlisted from various places, mostly Pennsylvania for one year, Sept 1864, who received $1,000 bounty. The record shows 15 substitutes, who enlisted Oct. 1864, mostly for 3 years, who also received from the county, $1,000 bounty. There were also 24 enlisted Apr 3, 1864, for $600 bounty, paid by the county.
