Names written in RED came from other sources than the History of Ontario Co., NY published in 1878
Few towns sent more troops to fight for the Union than Naples. Her record shows over 200 names enrolled. All met the dangers encountered on the battlefield, and many lost their lives in defense of their country. We give below as complete a record of them as can be obtained from the military records of this town.
There were 9 substitutes who were non-residents and we will not give their names; also eighteen secured to fill quota of town.
